Hello everyone,

 

I'm Steve, I'm 40, 5'9" and weigh about 85kg. I'm fed up of my sedentary lifestyle and noodle arms so have decided to get to the gym and sort things out.

 

I've browsed NF for a while now but have only recently decided to do something about my fitness.

 

My starting work out is taken from the following article http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2012/06/25/super-hero-muscle/ and consists of the following:

 

Workout A

• Squats, 4 sets of 5 (30kg)

• Overhead press, 4 sets of 5 (30kg, couldn't complete final set)

• Pullups, 3 sets of max (4, 3, 2)

 

Workout B

• Deadlifts, 3 sets of 5 (30kg)

• Bench Press, 4 sets of 5 (20kg)

• Bent Over Rows, 3 sets of 8 (30kg)

 

I alternate each workout every other day.

 

As for my diet, I've been working on cleaning it up for a while now and while it's pretty good there are just a few things that I need to ween myself off of.

 

This is the first time ever that I've actually looked forward to going to the gym and with the help of this community I hope I'll be able to stick at it.
