So much going right

Recommended Posts

2014 has been really good to me so far. I decided right before the new year that I had to get out of the post-bar-exam rut I was in and make some progress in life. It's finally all coming together!

First, I'm down 10 pounds plus 2.5" off my waist and 1.5" off my hips since January 1. All that from walking and not allowing excuses to have junk food as meals.

The other big news is that I was offered a job and accepted it. I've been looking since last May and sending out mountains of applications since after the bar exam in August. It's something I'll actually enjoy, even if the commute will be a nightmare at first. But I have a new job! I'll miss everyone where I currently work, but I'm looking forward to this step forward.

To top it all off, I finally got up my courage to get a hair cut. It sounds silly and insignificant, but I've pretty much had the same very long hair in the same style my entire life. It's still long by normal standards, but it's different. Reactions have been positive, negative, and completely oblivious. I'm just happy to know I can make what's a big change for me and I think it looks good! Plus, I made a hairstylist whose been itching to cut it very happy.

Feels like 2014 can only get better.
