Follow your dreams - share your dream

So, if you had all the money in the world and you could make your bakery look as awesome as possible... What would it look like? :)

Ooh.. thats a hard question if i had alot of money id spend alot of it on buying the best ingredients so that i would have amazing goods that could appear on magazine covers one day. But if i had a whole ton of money id try to make it look as nice as possible there would be fancy display cases so people could look at the product and then there would be a premium juice shack. Id decorate it with antique ski gear and the decor would make it look like a ski chalet.

My childhood dream was crushed by the reality of conformity in employment. I wanted to be a scientist. Dexter was a childhood idol.

My current dreams are very faint. Nearly faded away. And aweful silly. Something about someone who loves me for who I am, and wants me for only that. So instead I'll talk about a dream much more rational. I'd love to be a freelance mercenary :F

Ok, I'll bite. Why would this be silly...? I can't imagine wanting to be with someone for any other reason.

Unless you're stinking rich, and/or famous, in which case....

"Hey. How you doing? *best Joey impression* ;)

I have a few dreams. Most are pretty attainable, but I know at least one won't amount to much more than a pipe dream.

1- Get married, have kids. Marriage is optional for the kid bracket, but

1.5- adopt at least one kid. This part often requires marriage, from all the research and agencies I've studied.

2- Go back to Japan. Happily, the boyfriend and I are saving up for this!

3- Go to Europe/Russia, and see some top league euro hockey. I'd love to attend a KHL and/or Swedish Elite League game. I'm curious to see how the atmosphere compares to NHL games. Also, hockey. My parents also want in on this. Maybe one year we can arrange it as a family event.

Also wish I could sing well, but unless my vocal cords magically improve that is never going to happen.

Questing!

Sounds cool. I like it that you'd want to make it in a ski chalet theme. :) Sounds very nice. What would be the things you'd specialise in? Breads? Biscuits? Cakes?

You and I already had discussions about this and you know I don't find it silly that you want to find someone who only wants you for who you are. Why did you think other people would find it silly?

Oh my gosh, you almost made me spit my tea all over my computer screen. :'D Hahaha!

Your dreams are really cool. :D I take it you've been in Japan before, as you say "back to Japan"?

As for the singing... Practice makes perfect. n_n Unless you sound like a crow. :P

Some dreams...

- Homestead off grid in beautiful country... preferably in the mountains, near rivers. Preferably with a kindred soul and some happy dogs. Eventually with some dirty-kneed kids (maybe.) This is my long-term dream.

- Become fluent in Spanish (working on it!)

-Travel in South America

-Go on epic backpacking (hiking) trips

-Travel Europe

-Become super knowledgeable about plants and ecosystems... especially forest ecosystems.

-Live and love in the present!

(It's awesome to write these out! Usually they're just kind of floating around in my head.)

I was kindof being sarcastic :3 It'll happen some day. Or not, either way life is life right? Also, I read that with a Brooklyn accent, right Joey or was I in a different world?

And that's exactly why this topic needed to be made. :D

Besides, they say that if you daydream about things you really want you can get a clearer vision much easier on how to get there and realise it for yourself. I once read this article on how successful people tend to dream about what they want a lot. Appearantly that's a trait they all seem to have in common. I'll see if I can find that article. :)

Yep, been there once before and had an absolute blast. I'm just hoping to go beyond Tokyo this next time around.

And alas, I think "dying goat" accurately sums up what I sound like when I sing. That is why I limit all my singing to when I'm in the car. Alone.

I've been to Tokyo too, for one week. It was amazing. I hope to go beyond Tokyo too some time. :) Are there any specific things you'd want to see in Japan?

LOL dying goat. Hahaha! Such a genius description. x'D Never heard that one before.

Nice! I do love the city, but I'd like to hit up Kyoto (obviously) and see Sendai. Would also not say no to Kunozan Tosho-gu, Osaka Castle, or any other places of historical significance. I'm a big history buff, so anything old will automatically geek me out.

Hahaha. Well, I've been to Nara one day during my stay in Tokyo. Went there with the Shinkansen. Anyway, Nara has a park where you can pet deer (they look really bad though, because of all the bad food they get fed from people walking around) and there's a giant buddha in a temple there. It's really awesome! Worth your while. :)
