The dorkiest stuff you've worn while working out!

Recommended Posts

Just a couple of weeks ago I was volunteering at a con and all the staff got these bright green T-Shirts with 'SAN JAPAN STAFF VOLUNTEER' in big bold letters across the front.  We wound up having way too many of them, and they were giving away the extras, and my first thought was "WORKOUT SHIRTS", so now I've got 5 of these things that I wear whenever I work out.

I always wear a green lantern shirt and keep my green lantern ring on a necklace when I work out. Helps me build up the willpower to keep going.

I love the idea.  I do the same with a Batman t-shirt I have. It comes complete with screen printed abs and pecs.  Whenever the workout gets tough I growl "Justice" and push through. I'm looking to acquire an Ezio shirt for inspiration when I start my first challenge with the Assassins, but I'm just a Rebel now so I've got a couple weeks to go.

+1, why create the extra washing.

Also, only underwear if you're already wearing, otherwise why even bother with that?

Truth.  Plus it's so much simpler that way.  Course, I think my gym might take exception to that idea when I go in for Deadlift Day.  :D

I used to work as a children's bookseller and I sometimes work out in this tshirt that was sent by the publisher for marketing the Series of Unfortunate Events books (Lemony Snickett). It gets me some odd looks sometimes :)post-16573-0-09891200-1411077344_thumb.j

I biked to the gym, and forgot my gym shorts. I had to lift in canari bike shorts, a cycling cap, low top chucks, and a shirt with a  shark head on the back, and the front, in giant neon orange letters, read "bad to the bone maximized"

I realize I have an unhealthy attachment to my jump rope.

TRX opened my eyes to new levels of discomfort.

I often swim after a lifting workout, so I'll just wear my red swimsuit and a t-shirt.

Worst, I've forgotten my shirt many times, so I'll just workout in the swimsuit and whatever collared shirt I was wearing.

I once saw a guy at my gym working out in jeans and a polo shift, wearing dress shoes.  Looked a little odd, but I'll give the guy credit.  He didn't use it as an excuse to not lift.
