My deadlift has been capped for the longest time. I would do 5 sets of 8-9 reps of 290lbs. Now I recently picked up another 240lbs of plates on Craigslist, and Im exploring higher weight deadlifts on my 5rep days and 3rep days. The other week, I ended the deadlift sets at 3sets of 3reps @340lbs and I felt that powerful rush of 'wow!' that I haven't felt in a long time.I am looking forward to progressing on my deadlifts again. 3 Quote Current Challenge March 2016 Second Challenge First challenge, Battle Log Link to comment

Rookiebeotch Posted November 12, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 12, 2014 Used a dish towel as a makeshift wrist strap. Draped it over the back of my wrist, under the bar, and into my palm. It took the pressure off that finger and I didn't feel it rip. I still failed my programmed reps for deadlift though. My other lifts were OK. I just might need to psych up better. Or sleep more.
