Grecoair
This is not a huge deal for most, but it was a good step in the right direction, I think. I have the usual sad-sack story of some failed starts. A good two weeks and then nothing, shoulder deep in a pizza box. Fast forward to joining the rebellion. It was easy for me to snap to a judgement about paleo and how it's a bunch of nonesense and I got swept up in the internet articles and arguments pro and con about nutrition and ancient man and enzymes and stuff that I don't even know. It's exhausting. It recently got to the point where I think it might be a little easier to actually try it and see what happens. That's the backbone of the scientific process, I think, right? Let me try to wrap this up. I tried and failed at a day's worth of paleo big time. I felt like a failure. I hit the Respawn Point to vent and was reminded by erosan that I could reframe my goals and take it one meal at a time, instead of one day. So tonight for dinner, I did it. Nailed it. 100% paleo (I hope) meal. I challenged my girlfriend to cooking a full-paleo meal with me and it turned out pretty awesome. Steak, steamed broccoli, and carrot/orange juice. Eating a steak might not seem like a big deal, but for me it's one in the win column. I've only just begun. 1 Quote Link to comment

MattGannon
A fitness idol of mine has said that baby steps are fine as long as they are forward baby steps. That's what it's all about; the big goals and successes are comprised of small steps like the one you just took. Good for you. I like reading about the little victories like these. M. Rodriguez
Pretty cool! It is a big deal and I salute you. I may not know much about fitness or nutrition, but I can tell you I started the same way, one meal at a time, and it gets easier and easier. I wish you luck, and keep it up Quote Link to comment
