Eamon1916 Posted January 20, 2015 Report Share Posted January 20, 2015 Hello everyone, I'm Rob... and I'm new here. Little about me is... I'm from Indianapolis and I'm in my early 40s. Married father of 3. Things I like are racing (Vrrroooom IndyCar), football (American), football (Gaelic), hurling, board/card games and watching really bad TV. Last few years I've let my girth get a bit too large. I dabble in running but don't take it serious enough. My goal is to shed some weight and get my times down in running. My PRs: 5K - 26:3010K - 55:2113.1 - 2:11:5526.2 - 6:32:46 - not at my pace, I was running with my wife I'm running a half marathon in May and I'd like to PR (10:00min/mi is my goal, 2:11:05)I'm also running a full marathon in November... I don't have a goal for that yet, but I'm thinking 4:30:00 or 5:00:00. I tried one last May but had to abandon it at 4.5 miles because of a stress fracture. I haven't gotten back to my fitness level since recovering from that but I'm starting. Ran my first sub-10min/mi pace 4-mile run yesterday. Finally, yeah I'm a geek... If anyone is coming to Indy for GenCon hollar at me... =) Quote Link to comment

The plan is to have more fun by not being wiped out from all the walking. I like the running goals. Sorry to hear about the stress fractures last year. I am glad to see you're not giving up.
