Standard Introduction from a Standard Nerd.

Recommended Posts

Hi.

Wanted to do some weight lifting since I was at school, but was intimidated by all the big bully kids also choosing that class. Saw a set of dumbbell weights on offer while doing my shopping today, had been meaning to get a set for years, so bought them.

I know this is stupid but I felt embarrased buying them, so wrapped the boxes in bags to carry home. Was interestng though that the girl on the counter, who seemed happy with her build, found them hard to move, but I didn't struggle too much.

Anyway, I found this site trying to learn what to do with them.

I started by trying some of the exercises listed in the book that came with them, first at low mass, then as the book recommended, at a mass I could only do 6 to 10 reps of . I had to take it easy on my left arm, as it is still recovering from an unrelated injury.

Will be posting in a different part of the forum about the asymetric capacity, but hello everybody.
