Hi everyone!

 

At the suggestion of a very good friend, I've been hanging out anonymously and reading a lot of posts.  Today I decided to give this a try :) I'm a mama of 3 who wants to get back to her post baby #1 body!

 

I've been overweight most of my life, but really found a great balance with food and exercise after my first child.  On top of that, I was the smallest I had ever been in my adult life!  After baby #2, life became more stressful and I was up 20 lbs (give or take).  Since baby #3 another 30 lbs are just hanging around.  I've felt gross the past year and a half and realized this summer that feeling that way would never aid in weight loss.  In July I changed my mindset and I've lost 9lbs. 

 

Now, I'm ready to commit to eating Paleo and use the beginner body weight workout 3 times a week (completed 3 circuits today!)

 

So, in short, 43 lbs need to GO (though I wouldn't mind losing more...)! I'm ready.

I'm a 33 y.o. mother of 3, wife to 1. I float between veganism and omnivorism, but will focus on Paleo during this mini challenge.  I am a drama/dance/English teacher.  Class: Aspiring Assassin.

 

 Main quest: Lose 10% body fat [0/10%]

Sub-quest 1: Cook one new recipe per week [0/2]   

Sub-quest 2: Walk 6,000+ steps per day [0/2]   

Sub-quest 3: Read 1 book for pleasure  [0/1]

 

My mini-quests for this challenge:

1.)  I will do the body weight challenge X1, 3 days per week.  Anything less? FAIL!

2.)  I will focus on a Paleo lifestyle, allowing dairy intermittently, but no to sugar and carbs except on weekends!  And I will only drink water on a daily basis (over 64 fl oz).

3.)  I will respond in writing and with positivity per week to 5 or more other newbie NF rebels working on challenges (stolen from a friend!)

Thanks everyone! This is such an awesome community :) I'm definitely sore after yesterday's circuit, so yoga and walking are on today's agenda. Happy Sunday!

I got introduced to foam rolling this past week for soreness and it's freaking awesome. Maybe look into that and give it a try :D
