Here's my 2c I think you're right that you don't know if she's interested, and if you want to sound it out a bit more, go ahead.I ask my co-workers what they're doing for the weekend all the time, but with a relative stranger it's different.I've never asked a guy out, was always too shy, but would plant what I thought were massive leads (turns out guys dont really understand the female subtleties). If that were me, I'd ask a guy I was casually chatting with what they were up to, to gather intel. If you said out with friends at the beach, i'd know a bit more about you and we'd have things in common. If you said out with girlfriend or wife, i'd know to change conversation tone to be just friends. If you said nothing, I'd be a bit stumped... But if i liked you I'd probably be asking all of my friends what it means, and they'd tell me to wait to see what you said next.We're complex creatures! Hope that helps. My husband asks his co-workers what they're weekend plans are every single week. That doesn't mean he's asking all the ladies out, or giving anyone an 'open'. It only counts if a girl asks it, because girls tend to play things like that closer. A girl isn't going to ask a single guy what his plans are, unless she's fully prepared to be asked out by said guy. We know that's a risk we take by asking...so it's done on purpose, I swear.
