Nerdiest Job?

I am a Chartered Accountant. I spend my days analysing figures and doing all kinds of reporting to Group Management. Pretty cool. And then, just for kicks, I am also a CFP and do this in my spare time. Quintessential nerd?

Right now, I'm in-house at a publisher and trade-membership organization. Not super-nerdy, but not the coolest job either.

I'm currently unemployed, but up until then I was a makeup artist working for a cosmetics company. No nerdiness there. Blech.

I'm currently trying to get a clerical or secretarial job ANYWHERE while I wait very impatiently to hear back from the job I really want: 9-1-1 Dispatch for the Sheriff's Office here. Went in a couple days ago for a "voice stress test" (the machine fascinated me haha) which is very similar to a polygraph, but none of the crazy hookups. Eventually I want to be in the military and a cop... Still not too nerdy.

Blech. I mean, I love accounting. Most people don't believe me, but I actually really get in to debits and credits and T-accounts and the like. Tax makes me want to throw up in my mouth though.

I'm an I.T. Manager/one man I.T. Department at a steel company as well as work on very large fllame cutting torches. So I have about 40 users,8 servers, 12 large machines, adn all the related infrastructure to take care of.

I'm on a boat or near fresh water doing environmental research or in the lab processing data. I also get to electrofish and then dissect the equipment when it breaks. Troubleshooting equipment is my favorite thing to do.

My full time job could be a great techno nerd job: Product Manager for U.S. Cellular. To put in a way to make it sound cool.. I meet with mobile phone vendors like Motorola and Samsung to plan for the launch of new devices.

Part time job fails in the nerd dept: Firefighter.
