I'm new dude, I mean Sir...

So I could definitely use some encouragement.  I have a lot to learn but I have figured out a few things:  I often make grand goals that are impossible for a mere mortal to acheive, and I really do NOT like asking for help.  But...I need some.  I'm tired of the way I look, but much more than that, I'm tired of the way I feel.  My health is going downhill as a result of my weight and my diet, and enough is enough.

Welcome to Nerd Fitness! I've found that the people here are great, funny, and supportive, and I hope you do too.

 

The first step on figuring out where you want to go is to identify where you are now. If you haven't already, you could take some pictures, take measurements, start tracking what food and drinks you are consuming, and start tracking your daily exercise. 

 

From there, you can decide where you want to be, and take small steps to get there. For example, if you're a soda drinker, you could start with cutting out one can of soda a week, and go from there. You can do it! :D
