It's like Steve said in one article or another: When people see positive change in others, it makes them insecure about their own lives.

It sucks that he won't be supportive, but look on the bright side. At least he isn't actively trying to stop you from working out and being fit. : )

Does it help to know that it works both ways? I got out and out accused of cheating by my fiancée, partially because I'm trying to lose weight. (Also because I've had to work some late nights lately, and because I wore a pair of 'sexy but uncomfortable' jeans to work one day. My one pair of comfortable jeans were dirty.)

I guess jealousy isn't an IDEAL quality in your significant other. But if my wife WERE the jealous type and accused me of cheating or trying to cheat, I would be flattered. (I'd never cheat) I'm fortunate enough that she has joined the rebellion and is working out right along with me.

Granted, it's nice to know that he cares...but with everything I have going on, I don't have the time, energy, or will to cheat...even if I wanted to.

I'm afraid my husband isn't enough of a nerd to join NF. And I mean his self definition. Personally I think he's quite nerdy.
