  1. Damn I need to re-watch that show... Don't think I'm quite that bad though
  2. I'd say the main question is will taking on all 3 classes make you happy? What I mean is will you enjoy the work, or failing that will you have time to enjoy the extra money? If you will enjoy it you can find a way to fit it in.
  3. Thanks! It wasn't that bad to be fair, it was a bit embarrassing telling everyone else that I'd been kicked out and that we'd have to move on to another pub though! And thank you! I'm getting there; a good night's sleep and I might feel halfway human! Glad you enjoyed it . Seriously though, you have to laugh at these things. Or get annoyed and start a bar fight, but that might have slightly spoiled the evening! And yeah, I think it would've been silly to workout today. But I've bought a 1 day gym pass for tomorrow, so I can't back out of hitting my goal this week now!
  4. It's clearly all about Sean Connery, Mish Moneypenny.
  5. Exactly what I thought before your explanation! Your 2017 roadmap is excellent by the way. I hadn't considered it until now, but I may need to think of doing something similar.
  6. Good plan for having a chat to your doctor man; whatever he recommends it can never hurt to ask the question.
  7. After discussing with Mrs, we reckon the closest thing to those biscuits in England is a garibaldi. Also nick-named dead fly biscuits because that's what the raisin bits look like
  8. Your work Christmas lunch sounds great, I'm glad you had such a good time (and so much food!). And I think you're right; when you get yourself into a better situation you will have the perspective to really appreciate everything you have
  9. Just heard back from NF HQ: "Thanks for the note and question! This is awesome! You can use the NF logo for your team shirts; HOWEVER, we have a couple of guidelines that we ask you to follow: 1. No one in your group/team is allowed to make money off the shirts, so please use a shirt printer that can take your money up front and print them. Don't use a company like Redbubble, etc. where someone can charge above the cost of the shirt being made and make money off of your team members. 2. The NF logo must be intact (so please do not modify it). Otherwise, good luck with the race! We'd love to see photos of you guys once it's finished! "
  10. Stats at W1D4 Mr Positivity 4/28 Mr Strong 2/12 Mr Sleepy 3/27 Mr Writer 4/28 Daily Dare score: 10 Mr Positivity says "I had a really nice time last night, and most of the new people I met were really cool. Also feel closer to the people in my own office now " So yeah, a good night was had. Got to work yesterday around 10 after having 2 trains cancelled, and then left at 11 to get the train to head office. Met everyone in that office, checked in at the hotel and changed, and then headed out to the party. It was a great night at a lovely (if remote) venue, food was good, lots of dancing and drink was plentiful. At about half midnight we got the coach back into town, and when we got there we went out to a few bars. I managed to get myself escorted out of 1 bar which makes for my amusing anecdote of the night (short version: bouncer thought I was taking drugs in the toilet. I wasn't but there was no convincing him). Had much more drink, got lost trying to find our hotel and got to bed at half 4! As you might imagine, today I feel absolutely dreadful. I've had around 4 hours sleep after drinking enough alcohol to put down a rhinoceros and it feels that bad. Most of the morning was spent travelling back to London, but this afternoon at work was rough! I did decide to sack off the gym tonight (to be honest is probably best for my own safety!), so I'll be trying out a pay as you gym place tomorrow instead. Sleep is still technically a pass as my rules weren't designed for this scenario, so I've not counted it but take a day off the available points instead. Daily dare I forgot about yesterday, and I'm not sure if I'm up to it today.
  11. It has definitely begun! Yep, southern rail commuter! Next week I think we have the guards striking, the drivers striking, and one of the unions has banned all staff from working overtime when they're not on strike! Thank you for the cute gif! I let out a (totally manly) awww when I saw it. I know, how does anyone get a full workout in? And I still had to share a squat rack! We can be "those people" together then . *chants* Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Seriously, they're so much fun, and there are so many different lengths and difficulties of them you can definitely find one that suits you! Maybe! Balance is hard to find though! I know, it's mad isn't it? I still get a lot of funny looks when I catch up with people I haven't seen in a while and start talking about lifting and running (especially running). I don't have an Instagram account, but if I did it would be 90% fitness related I think!
  12. I'm always up for some bouldering, definitely. ^and this I e-mailed them Wednesday evening (UK time), haven't had a response as yet.
  13. Oo, that really sucks. Well done on getting all that running done with your cold though. Hope you have fun at climbing tonight
  14. Stats at W1D3 (Bold's gone again!) Mr Positivity 3/28 Mr Strong 2/12 Mr Sleepy 3/28 Mr Writer 3/28 Daily Dare score: 10 (last update should have been 8) Last night was snooker and I won (), but the rest of my team lost so we lost 4-1 overall (). Got home about 11:45, in bed very quickly around midnight. Luckily I got a lie in today as it's not a lifting day and I knew I wouldn't have time for a run. Also sort-of-luckily I got to lounge at home for quite a bit longer as my train and the following train were cancelled. I'm going to get to work around 10 at this rate, and then I'm leaving at 11 for the work Christmas do! Very nervous about tonight - work party with a company I've only been with for a month, and down near head office with a load of people I have never met: Holy Social Anxiety Batman! Still, it's important for me to meet these people and show my face, and it's an opportunity for personal growth making myself do these things, so I shall ranger on! Mr Positivity says: "I filled out the survey NF sent round yesterday and it asked what I was most surprised by in my fitness journey. I put that I've become one of these terrible people who get excited about going to the gym and who talk about it far to much. I love being one of those awful people now! I can't really explain it but it... Look, I'm sat here grinning writing this and that can only be a good thing!"

That's a horrible feeling to have, I'm so sorry you're going through that. I can only offer the perspective that, whether you believe it now or not, things will get better. And when they do you'll look back and be extremely glad that you couldn't skip to the end.
  16. Sorry to hear you've had a bad day. I hope you wake up feeling better tomorrow. Everyone has an off day goal wise, but now you have the power to make sure it's not 2 in a row
  17. Seriously well done on resisting eating stupid stuff. As you clearly know a lot of hunger is psychological rather than physical so you can push through it (just don't ask me how to tell the difference between the two in reality!). I hope that with a bit of consistency your sleep patterns will get better too
  18. Arm circles done with EC. After a few beers. At 23:40 my time. They were surprisingly alright!
  19. I'm definitely still up for this. I will contact Nerd Fitness HQ to see if they are happy for us to use their name in a team name and maybe on a t-shirt if we decided to print them, but if you want to register quicker than that I'd say just pick a team name and go for it.
  20. Same here, it definitely sets you up for the day. My mornings are just getting earlier and earlier though. I could make myself lift on weekends, but I tend to run Saturday mornings and climb at some point each weekend, so I'm reticent to load in more activity unless I have to! And yes, very hard to leave this morning, but equally a good mental image to hold in mind for the day.
  21. So I said sod it at lunchtime and decided to go to the gym then and get it done. Worked up to 62.5kg on my squat for 3x5 (somewhere around PR territory I think) and 30kg on OHP for 3x5 (last week I only got 5, 5, 4 so had to repeat the weight). No time to try power cleans unfortunately (this is a recurring theme). Don't think I'll make a habit of working out at lunch, it doesn't seem to be enough time. Glad I got it out of the way though, so I'm back on track for 3 sessions this week.
  22. I know, daft isn't it! I actually managed to spend a couple of months procrastinating about whether to get a UK passport or and Irish passport before I even began procrastinating about completing the form! They certainly are (disclaimer, said "kitten" is now 3 years old, but he is very small). Thank you! I shall!
