  1. Sorry to hear about the job Wolfman. It's the thing that sucks most about applying for jobs, it doesn't matter how brilliant you are so much as how brilliant (or well connected) the next guy is. Hope you had a great time for Mrs Wolf's birthday brother.
  2. You have a Brian Blessed tree topper? Oh my god you're awesome! Please tell me it bellows things at you as well!?
  3. Hello and welcome all to my last challenge of the year! Things have been a bit mad the last couple of months, and my mood has been a bit all over the place with a big dollop of worry on top. And I don't want to be worried, or angry, or upset, I want to be positive and looking forward. With that in mind, this month I try to become Mr Positivity. Mr Positivity - 15XP What? Say and record positive things, to help me keep a positive mindset. Why? Because I want to be a more positive person. How? Record something positive in my journal every day, and report it on here. It can be anything; something about myself, something good about my day, something I'm thankful for etc. Mr Strong - 15XP What? Continue getting in the gym. Why? Because it makes me feel good about myself, and because I want to get stronger. How? Get to the gym 3 x per week, continuing starting strength. No Excuses despite Christmas and all that jazz. This takes precedence over all other exercise. Mr Sleepy - 15XP What? Get some more sleep! Why? Because I need it, for body and mind, or I feel dreadful. How? Get to bed each night by 10:30, or within 45 minutes of getting home, whichever the latter Mr Writer - 10XP What? Keep up with my Bullet Journal Why? Because I'm liking it as a way to keep track of challenges, and I'm hoping that as I get used to it it will actually make me more productive. How? i. Journal every day. ii. Report on here if I fail to complete any to-dos. iii. Complete all month to-dos at some point. Also, this just popped into my head: So that's that, nothing too fancy this month but hopefully a winning set of goals. Onward!
  4. On the other hand maybe you're just now so awesome you don't even notice yourself being awesome, and that's why you're surprised
  5. Not yet! I definitely will, and I pretty much know what I'm doing, but I just need some computer time to actually type it up
  6. I'm amazed how much I like BuJo-ing! Just started my latest one from today! Not yet, with a bit of luck I'll have it up tomorrow. I know what I'm doing, just need a bit of computer time to type it up!
  7. It used to be about midnight GMT, which would be about 7pm Eastern Time (for the following day), but not sure if that's still the case

I can't offer anything original here; you've had some great advice above and @IAmInfinite's post sums up my thoughts almost word for word. I just wanted to say that I'm here for you should you ever want to talk.
  9. Next challenge: 50 Shades of C_Q Well done on getting out in the cold for your run, that takes some commitment.
  10. Really interesting article actually, thanks for sharing. Nice use of the word "probably" by the way, as though there was any doubt .
  11. Thanks man! Overall I'm not too unhappy; it is what it is but I always knew I was in for a tough month. You, and everyone on here, helped me stay sane for this challenge, for which I am extremely grateful! That bench story is horrifying man! That god you do always use the safeties! The mental image of a KB soaring through the air is a great one though
  12. Following again of course. I'm glad you've decided you will have a good day today.
  13. Awesome challenge, and glad you had a great time away as well
  14. Nice plan to round out the year, following along again.
  15. So... never then? Glad you're feeling better and enjoyed your run mate.
  16. Slightly Late Challenge Wrap-Up Keep Lifting - Lift 12+ times this challenge - 15XP I was so close to this one, but missed a day in the last week. I want to make lifting my number one priority at the moment, so I should be able to hit this consistently regardless. This will return next challenge. Score: 11/12 - 10XP awarded ---I've just had a eureka moment! Since I moved work to London I've got a gym in London, but that gave me an issue with going on the weekends if I needed a catch-up day. But there is a thing called Pay As You Gym, where you can just turn up and pay for a single session, and there's one a couple of minutes from my house! Wish I'd have realised this sooner!--- Don't drink like a dickhead- 15XP I drank like a dickhead twice this challenge, which is not ideal. This is something I need to work on, but how much of it is from drinking and how much of it is attitude I'm not sure. I drank 12 times over the course of the challenge, which is an average of 3 per week. That I'm actually quite happy with; I thought it would be quite a bit higher! I think I've learned something about my attitude towards drinking this challenge, so whlst I should probably just fail myself... Score: Drank 12, Dickhead 2 - 5XP awarded Skill Work - 12+ times this challenge - 15XP I honestly just forgot about this most of the time. Also, whilst in theory it should be easy to find 5 minutes 3 times week, I felt busy. That's totally different to being busy, and I can definitely do this in the future if I care enough, but I won't be doing this specifically next challenge. Score: 5/12 - 0XP awarded Bullet Journaling - Daily - 10XP This was a total success. Building on it my next goal may well be to actually do most of my todo list on time, but this at least allowed me to record my challenge and my thoughts! Score: 28/28 - 10XP awarded
  17. Agreed, absolutely love that book! I saw an amateur dramatics version of Wyrd Sisters. That book is virtually written to be a stage show imo, so it worked really well. Totally in for this; I've read just about all of the Discworld books (bar a couple of the Hat Full of Sky series) but any excuse to pick them up again is fine by me .
  18. I feel like I'm taking a stroll through your mind with these Planescape threads. Following along of course.
  19. Me too! One day I'll get there, need to get a bit better at pull-ups first! I'm good thanks dude! Getting used to the new place pretty quickly. Still haven't quite hacked the commute but I'll get there. I never read enough comics, but I think I know what to out on my Christmas list now! Thanks Wolfman!
  20. Excellent plan for the month, following again Also, this^
  21. We call this Rangerbrain, the desire to do allthethings. It's a very serious condition! Congrats on your weight loss so far, I'll be following along.
  22. 60 hour weeks? Ouch! Following along.
  23. To be honest as Parkrun is a Saturday morning I'm not sure I've ever done it with less than 5 pints the night before! Maybe I should try that sometime... And oo, ouch, that sounds painful. And I will admit, also a very funny mental image
