  1. I've never played D&D or anything like it; it sounds really cool but I've got no idea how to get into it. If something does get set up here I'd be interested.
  2. I'd be prepared to bet that there is a hilarious gif out there to accompany that comment. I am totally not prepared to Google one at work however.
  3. Honestly, I have no idea which one it is. Just a friend mentioned it to me the other day, so I will have to find out! I'd recommend getting him to read it. On the other hand I probably would have been annoyed if someone got it for me last Christmas, but then I was pretty touchy about my smoking at the time. ----- Last night was a chilled one - cleaned the kitchen with Mrs, watched a bit of the Paralympics (the power lifting was awesome!), watched The Last Leg, watched Bake Off. Generally a good TV watching evening really! Sleep - To bed - Actually got to bed on time, which is nice. I gain a point for that, so now I'm only on -30! To rise - Overslept again though . I now owe a total of 30 burpees, plus the 10 already completed. On the plus side I got nearly 9 hours sleep, so that should reset me a bit Workout - Was very very late to the gym. Nearly didn't bother going in at all, but I decided it was worth doing something. That something was bench press - 20kg x 2 x 6, 40kg (PR) - 6, 6, 6, 5, 4. Hopefully I'll be able to hit the full 5x6 next time on that. Non-Mowing - 3-0 up I think now. Could win this week yet! Weights and Measures - I appear to have forgotten this again. Must do it, I need the data! Smoking - 90/180 minutes. So close to the end I can almost taste it (or taste anything, which would be good). Had to buy bacci today, hopefully for the last time. Teeth - 2.5/7 - I can still hit 5/7 if knuckle down on this. ----- Tonight off to see a band with my Dad (yeah I know, nothing new there). Tomorrow will be Parkrun in the morning, then bouldering late morning/mid afternoon, then try and get some more non-mowing points!
  4. Good scientific process. Side note, can someone explain to me what 2% milk is? We don't have percentages on our milk here and I've always wondered. Four-twenty-fifteen, four-twenty-sixteen, four-twenty-ten-seven, four-twenty-ten-eight... Yep, totally logical!

  8. Thank you, that's really nice to hear The book is Allen Carr's EASYWAY to Stop Smoking (the man was rather fond of caps lock). I picked it up on Amazon for about £5 ( which is pretty good if it ends up saving me ~£900 per year on cigarettes)

  11. So snooker with my mate was fun last night. Ended up being a late one, but I need the practice as the new season starts on Monday. I also collected my winnings for coming 4th in the summer league. Had I mentioned I came 4th? Well I came 4th! (and won £50 which is a nice little bonus). Sleep - To bed - Got back late (as above), so instead of going to bed straight away and earning back some points I obviously procrastinated for a while, spent some time on here, caught up on Wolfie's holiday videos. Long story short I'm now on -31 points. To rise - Overslept by a lot given the above. I haven't done my burpees yet but I now owe another 20 burpees in addition to the 10 I did earlier in the week. I NEED TO MAKE SLEEP A PRIORITY - IT EFFECTS EVERYTHING ELSE I DO On a lighter note one of the things I did whilst procrastinating last night was make lunch for today. I think it's tiredness, but I completely forgot and went out and bought lunch and got back to the office to find I brought some. So basically it's two-lunch Thursday! Workout - Overslept. That gives me 1 miss and 1 partial for the week. Non-Mowing - Still 2-0 up I think. Mrs is off work though, so I might be behind by the time I get home. Weights and Measures - I will do this tonight dammit! (literally copied and pasted that sentence from yesterday though!). Smoking - 60/180 minutes. Teeth - 1.75/7 - much more effort needed. Think I'm going out for beers tonight, but I'm going to make an effort to try and get home and to bed early regardless. Also, randomly, one of the people I'm doing the Warrior Run with has asked if I want to do a 5k Colour Run with her the following week. Anyone done one? Are they any good?
  12. Yeah, it's really helping. I understand now why I wasn't succeeding in gradually stopping; I was treating the problem as I would breaking a habit rather than as an addiction. I'm fairly confident that I will stop smoking when I finish the book, hopefully this week. Hopefully I should also be certain that I will stop by the time I get to the end.
  13. That's really odd; I've double checked and I use the exact same filters and mine works. Anyone else have any ideas?
  14. Finally watched the videos man, sounds like you had an awesome weekend! I'm so envious it sounds like so much fun! A couple of random songs that popped into my head while watching: "I've got a lot to learn and I'm so so hungry for that right now" And of course: Also also, love the Guinness vest dude!
  15. Don't know if it helps, but I think it only shows new activity after you've created the stream. So it should be fine (I think) after a few days of new activity in those posts. ...either that or it's content you start following after you start the stream, which would be significantly less helpful...

  22. You really should, they're worth it! I know what you mean, tired brains do not make responsible decisions. I'm sure I'm better than I used to be, but for some reason it seems like less effort to stay up than go to bed, which makes no sense. I'm not sure mine can either. Well not if I actually want to get up in the morning anyway! Sleep - To bed - So I maaay have done exactly the same thing last night. In bed by half 9, chill out a read my book for a bit, and then it's 11:40 and I'm still awake. Exercised just enough self control to stop there rather than staying up for another 2 hours to finish the book. That puts me on... -24 points. Yikes! To rise - So obviously I also got up late this morning after 2 later-than-I'd-like nights. Another 5 burpees done puts me at 10 for the week so far. Workout - So as I woke up late, I got to the gym late. Here's what I did: Squats - 20kg x 6, 40kg x 6, 55kg x 5 x 6 - just got through it, but I can feel how long it's been since I did this DB Military Press - 12kg x 5 x 6 - really tough but just scraped the new PR ..yeah, that's it. The other half of my workout had to be skipped so I could get to work on time. At least I turned up I suppose, so it's better than nothing. Non-Mowing - Did some washing and hung it out to dry, 2-0 up so far. Want to build a lead as Mrs has Thursday and Friday off this week. Weights and Measures - I will do this tonight dammit! Smoking - 60/180 minutes. Teeth - 1.75/7 - needs work. Playing snooker with a mate tonight, so won't be too productive. Just need to make sure I weigh myself tonight, and do a little bit of meal prop before bed. Hoping to read a lot of/finish the stop smoking book Thursday.
