NED talks is the best thing ever, and yeah - we're working on trying to come up with a cool solution for user uploaded videos in the NF realm. anybody have any suggestions? We're listening

It'd take a whole lot of storage space, that's for sure. So you wouldn't want anyone to upload just anything to NF. Maybe you could require a private link to the video they want to submit and review it. If it's good enough, they get permission to upload it to NF.

Well, I'm really liking this idea, I can play the Experimental guinea Pig for those who want to see how an exercise is done, I'm somewhat flexible and can articulate very accurately what parts of my body are stretching, what hurts, what doesn't, where I'm supposed to feel the stretch, and so on. My only problem is that my resources are limited due to the fact that all I have is just a barbell some weights and my garage full of disorganized tools. I can possibly do a "Make-shift gym" sorta theme.

Agree with Phi. These days, videos can take up a lot of space when you consider most video cameras are recording at 720p and 1080p. I would certainly put out some guidelines for size, etc; as it is not too terribly uncommon for a video to reach 1GB in size depending on the source and length. Also, another item to consider will be the bandwidth required to stream and upload the videos. I've seen the NF site go down before, but never knew the cause. Wouldn't want to see video streaming causing more of that. I guess I haven't really helped with a solution or recommendation, just a few more things to consider if the desire is for NF to host the videos rather than another site (vimeo, youtube, etc).

Speaking personally, if I created a teaching video, I would want to retain ownership of it. I assume, though, that along with the question of how to get stuff uploaded to/hosted by NF, Steve & Spezzy are thinking about the terms of service and what the implications would be if video became part of the content here.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a default NF intro template for videos? Could just be an image that fades out after a couple of seconds. Something like;
