The book for this challenge is 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami! A thread has been started for discussing it. Apocalyptic Planet came in a close second, so if we want to discuss it we should :) Happy reading all!

OK everyone so we have 26 books to choose from!! Sadly the forums only allow for polls with up to 10 choices, so if it's okay I say we have a vote on here--voting ends Tuesday Night!

It's 3:30AM my time, so if I made mistakes I greatly apologize. Don't forget, this is just for fun, so let's keep it civilized! I'm super excited so many people are interested!

I linked the books to Amazon so we can have an idea of what we're voting for--these aren't to click on to vote, sadly :( middle of the night CH is not that crafty...

Aww boo, I missed nominations? I really wanted to nominate Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I'll have to remember for next time.

I vote for 1Q84 but I'm happy to do anything that's chosen.

I should point out that the link to 1q84 that is in the OP is to the Italian version. I wasn't able to find the English version that wasn't part of a set on Amazon. But here is a copy from Barnes & Noble and one from BAM! (my bookstore of choice).

And since AP is on pre-order, I change my vote to 1q84

Just a note on the pre-order. Apocalyptic Planet is shipping October 2. That's less than a week so not long at all.

BTW The header says staring 17 September and we're not even decided on a book yet so I figure the dates of start are a bit flexible.
