ALL of the STAR TREK movies (I mean really, how can you possible function w/out watching Star Trek???)

Planet of the Apes series (the original, NOT the Marky Mark & the Monkey Bunch remake) (However Rise was pretty good)

The Warriors (yeah...cool movie)

The Blues Brothers (On a Mission from God)

Galaxy Quest (just fun)

Patton (Greatest General of the 20th Century)

Ten Commandments (classic)

Braveheart

Rob Roy

300

13th Warrior

Interview With The Vampire(Lestat is the last of the non-wussy vampires.  Vampires are wussies now)

Tora Tora Tora (a WAY better Pearl Harbor movie than Pearl Harbor)

Saving Private Ryan

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Because Wolvie kicks ass...even if he is Canadian)

Harlem Nights (Pryor, Murphey, Foxx...make you pee your pants laughing)

Just a few...

Shortbus is my favourite movie ever, but I usually tell people V for Vendetta because no one knows what Shortbus is. I highly recommend it (obviously) if you can find it, but be prepared for some full on nudity. It's not about nudity or sex, though there's lots of those in it, but on the surface it would seem so, which could turn a lot of people off. I say, give it a chance, it's a beautiful story (makes me cry every single time, and I'm not generally a crier).

Also, The Princess Bride, Finding Nemo, WALL-E, The Usual Suspects, pretty much anything by Quentin Tarantino or Chris Nolan (especially Inception). Lots and lots of others, about the only kind of movie I don't like is comedies, but even some of those are good.

Dare mighty things

Sunset Blvd.!!! Homegirl is cuh-RAZY and I love it. And the brothers Cohen are two of my favorite brothers on the planet.

But a few of mine:

Rear Window

Just Friends (totally asinine, but I laugh like a buffoon every time)

Nightmare Before Christmas

Once

Rocky Horror Picture Show

Snatch

Dark Knight trilogy

High Fidelity

It's hard to think of them when asked about them.

If I were only allowed to watch 5 movies ever again I would choose Snatch, The Road, V for Vendetta, 2001: A Space Odyssey and haven't decided the fifth one yet. The ones mentioned in my previous post are all really good but I figured narrowing it down to 5 might help in finding out what movies I really, really love.

This is a really hard topic. Outside of the Star Wars OT and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, I've never really thought about my favorite films. Well, I've thought about them, but could never decide.

Star Wars OT

Lord of the Rings Trilogy

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

V for Vendetta

Aladdin

Drive

Vertigo

Bronson

Harold & Maude

His Girl Friday

Nosferatu

Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992 with Gary Oldman)

I could go at this all day. But that list has a wide variety of genres I'm interested in.

My favorite all time movie is The Beach. Odd choice since most people don't even like it all that much. Other than that :

Platoon

Sideways

Scott Pilgrim vs the world

about any star trek movie

into the wild

The sandlot

Also, I actually really liked Drive as well.
