A Fallen Teufel rises

A little about myself, I have chosen the Ranger class due to being Marine Infantry, we need strength, stamina and endurance to get the mission done.

 

Once I decided that I was not going to reenlist due to some complicated issues, I fell into a dark pit a little while after I got out. I had no job, no prospect of a job, no direction, no money, I was on the brink of loosing my truck, my credit was now demolished, the worst part was I disregarded my health and fitness. I ended up weighing over 300 lbs, nearing 50 percent body fat, and pushing a 46 size pants. I started to workout a bit but never really followed though over the past 2 years. It was until I hit my birth day and looking back my life, it sickened me, looking forward I saw no future on that road. Since I am weighing in around 270-275 lbs and am around 26 percent body fat (according to my fitness tracker app) while fitting into a 38 pant size.

 

 

I know where I belong and where I do not, I am working to be healthy and to get my life back in my hands and this time I will not let anything or anyone stand in my way.   :angry:

 

I am going to set some goals and parallel the the challenge to get a feel for it.

My husband stuck it out through 26 years in the USMC, although not infantry (he retired about 20 years ago & I don't think his MOS exists anymore).  I know that your inner-Marine is hiding in there somewhere, so joining the Rangers sounds like a good way to unleash him.  There's a challenge in progress, but you can join for the last month of it (you just can't "win").  Cruise around the Ranger's thread (Click on the CHALLENGE tab above) and see what type of goals folks have.  Welcome to the rebellion.

Thanks for the welcome, I was planning on being a lifer but I guess I just got dealt a bad hand to start with. Yeah I have a thread up with some goals to help get me a solid base for the next challenge and to get back into achieving goals.
