I was starting to get into some of the things on here last fall, even wrote down the stuff for my own life quest on paper...

Then I spent a few days in the cardiac care unit, posted a few things after I got out and then drifted away.  the months prior to that I had lost about 15 pounds, and was starting to feel a lot better.

Okay, the almost heart attack, it was my moms fault  (gentetic) . . .

I was told by the doctor that I only had one of the three sings of a heart attack, and my arteries are all good, so it isn't officially one, maybe I can still get life insurance? That was in the end of November

Since then I have started eating more with my parents and going back to the stress eating of mint chocolate chip Klondike bars when I get hungry in the middle of the night, and an occasional Totinos pizza or two when nobody is home.  I have some trouble going out, and like to have someone with me so if I can't drive it is safer for everyone else on the road.  For a while I was able to maintain the weight but over the past week or so I have gotten
back over 300, with the scale saying 306 today.  I have been wanting to get back on my eating pattern and try to help myself out a bit and now have assistance to be able to get my own food again, I haven’t been able to work because I have been getting very lightheaded and have passed out once, and came close to it many times just on small outings without much walking.

Today I went to the store, grabbed a grocery cart for support and purchased
the food needed for day one of the Sebastien Noel’s Paleo Meal Plan.  Tomorrow am hoping that I will be able to get enough food for the first full week or at least part of it, I don’t want to have rotten vegetables again like last summer when didn’t plan meals at all.

Another thing I want to start doing again now that it is above freezing during the day is walking.  I was doing
the morning mile, now I can maybe go a quarter mile if I rest.  So I have to build that back up over time,
and don’t want to push it, I have already been back in the hospital twice so far.  And last but not least my finances,
I actually got out my filing cabinet, and went through all of my bills, put them on a spreadsheet, filed them in the right spot and know how much I owe (unless there are any that I haven’t filed, which is highly likely, I need to
look at a credit report and find out).  Now I have to figure out the medical portion, and see what I have for
them, so far I know that I owe 2,500 for an MRI after I passed out waiting for
the elevator at the hospital visiting someone else a week after I got out.  The VA should help with some since they are
the ones that sent me to the CCU, but I don’t know how much goes through them
yet.

On a small sidenote I have been staying in my parents travel trailer since all this happened and have been looking into possibly getting my own RV or an old bus, I have found a nice looking conversion bus for 10k, and an old school bus for really cheap.

It looks like you've got a long-term plan lined up.  I like that you're starting with a good eating plan, since that is about 80% of your fitness.  It might be useful to lay out some short term goals for just 2-3 weeks.  Click on the CHALLENGE tab and follow the threads in the FAQ to join a guild and (if you like) create a character.  You can join in when the next challenge starts - that will be a great way to build accountability and not drift away again.  Hop over and visit this thread & some of the folks in it.  Welcome to the rebellion.

Thanks Laureleye

I was following the Rangers guild a couple of months ago but now maybe monk Druid?  This is going to be a long and hard road, I thought it was hard when I could go out and do things on my own and just lacked motivation, now I have the motivation and not the energy.

Yes, its a long road, but at least you've started on it.  Hopefully, cleaning up your diet will help you feel better.  My mindeset is that I'm only doing today's workout.  I'm not doing yesterday's workout, and I'm not doing tomorrow's.  So if I've done the best I can do today, that's good enough.  If your best is walking across the room, or standing up and waving your arms around, do it and know you've done your best.

That whole fainting thing must be scary.  If it isn't your heart, do they know what it is?

They are not sure, I am hoping I can go to a specialist to find out a little more with everything and see what needs to be done.  The biggest challenge for me has always been following through, I had started StrongLifts about 3 weeks before it all happened and was walking 1-2 miles in the morning and it all felt really good.  I am using the motivation of how I felt before it all to start getting back to where I want to be.  I know that I will never again be the same, but at least I am alive and can just adapt my methods for the weight and fitness goals.  The only other option I see is not worry about it, get bigger and more out of shape, die early because my heart can't keep up, and you can't have as much fun that way.

I have that problem too, follow through. I get all excited and pumped that "I'm going to do this" start out great than fail. I'm trying to take it a lot slower now and bought the Rebel Fitness Guide (honestly worth every penny). Also something about this site clicks for me which who cares as long as it is healthy and works right!? But the people around here are pretty amazing and always ready to jump in and help (which helps me tons).

When I first started out I walked 15min a day no matter what. Than slowly increased from there to where I am now (following the Rookie plan in the RFG). Just take it slow and don't like people derail you. After all you don't want that pizza, its nasty and tastes nasty! (which honestly it will after awhile). I also suggest making a battle log so you know what you eat/do is being put where anyone can see it. I didn't have one at first but started mine the other day and already finding it helping me with choices. I also use MFP to track my eating through the day along with a weightloss journal to record my weight, food, activites, and my mood each day.

hmm, still here, on 0.

but now I have a ICD to help me get above zero, so no more passing out or getting light headed.

It has a pacemaker function in it, and that kicks in at 40  beats per minute, and has a couple of times so far (drinking code Red Mountain Dew and then trying to walk fast apparently gets my heart rate up high it goes down.) And the head doctor says she does not believe I had a seizure, finally, so that is all good.

So I going to start with the basics, walk Zoe for at least 15 minutes a day, as I stated in the comments of Steve's Hard Hat Challenge.

As far as the other ones I think I might start a little smaller with some of the things I put in my Battle Log so long ago.I had 5,000 words written down, I am going to look into doing a free write a day for a week (5 minutes) then start adding from there.
