Ready-to-change
Hello I'm new to the web site and to this whole concept, butas my user name suggest I'm ready to change. I'm female, 21 and I'm 5ft 10" (and ahalf which totally counts) and I'm ashamed to admit I weigh in at a hefty 18stone.I used to be an Army Cadet andloved it. I got to do all sorts of physical activities and stay reasonablyhealthy. Even though I've always been a little overweight I never let it getthis bad. When I left the cadets I was 18 so I had gotten used to eat to keepup with my metabolic rate, and when I left the cadet I just carried on eatingthat way. I’d probably go as far as to say that I’m addicted to food… I justfeel like I need to eat almost everything all the time, but now things have kindof... peeked.I need to lose weight. I badlywant to be a police officer and that's not going to happen if I can't bephysically active. I love to run but my shear bulk makes that too difficult. Sotomorrow.../ today I'm going to start the Paleo Diet and the beginners H.I.I.Tsystem. I’m currently living with a friend that showed me this diet and exerciseroutine and I have to say it sounds all most too good to be true. So I’m goingfor it. I think that whilst I’m living here things are going to be a littleeasier as my friends already on the diet. Which makes for a great startingpoint but my will power is going to struggle when I move back in with my fast-foodloving family. If it’s not ready in under 10 minute there not going to be interested.Any tips/ recipe ideas will begreat fully taken and I’ll upload regular blogsThanks for reading x. Link to comment
Einar
Welcome. I know exactly how you feel when it comes to eating for the level of activity you once did, that's where my current situation started. In highschool I ate everything I could but I burned it all with my level of activity, then went to Army training and did the same but once I finished that and my activity level fell without my eating habits changing I found myself with 70 extra pounds on my frame.Sounds like you have the right attitude and already have a plan in place to get started. Just keep plugging away and don't let momentary upsets throw you off and you'll get there before you know it.Good luck and again, welcome A true warrior does not train tirelessly to fight, or to kill.
