1.  The right tool for the job, whether it's a keyhole saw, myfitnesspal.com, or something less literal...

2.  Peppermint Tea.

3.  NF-inspired progress checks; they remind me that even on the bad days, I'm doing better than I used to.

This used to be where  my weight loss progress bar was. Maybe it will be here again when I'm ready to face the scale and work on my fat problem.

1) I have a decent plan for work that covers the next few weeks

2) A coworker who only shows up every other month (works off site) walked in this morning and told me that I "keep shrinking every time [he] comes back."

3) Left over homemade lemon shortbread cookies.

gum. (no, seriously. because I chew holes in my mouth when I don't have it.)

aaaaaaaaand my NerdFitness community!! <3 I love you guys & gals.

there is never a sudden revelation, a complete and tidy explanation for why it happened, or why it ends, or Why or Who you are. you want one and I want one, but there isn't one. it comes in bits and pieces, and you stitch them together wherever they fit, and when you are done you hold yourself up, and still there are holes and you are a rag doll, invented, imperfect. and yet you are all that you have, so you must be Enough. there is no other way.

1. Helping my friend today read his music notes from his childhood. He is mostly blind now. He is a master classical pianist. He also plays jazz!

2. The Water Spaniel puppy in the laundromat today. He curled up under my chair and laid his head on my foot for about 20 mins.

3. My laptop. It has been with me all day and I've been able to stay in contact with Rebels and my family as I'm planning my parents 50th wedding anniversary party.
