One Year Down, A Lifetime To Go (pics)

Recommended Posts

Last year I decided I was sick of going through life fat and miserable.  One June 1st I decided to do something about it.  I found Nerd Fitness and the rest was history.  I started eating right and lifting heavy (my deadlift PR is 350... so far).  June 1st marked my first year of fitness and I'm never going back.

Before: June 1, 2012 - 220 lbs, 35% body fat

After:    June 1, 2013 - 190 lbs, 20% body fat

Thanks Rooks.  And yes, I do love my beard now that I have an actual chin and jawline to make it that much more awesome.  My son says I look like Thorin Oakenshield.

Well, that's awesome. Not much more you can do to compliment a man than to compare his beard to a Dwarve's, and to have it come from your son, that's great.
