Diabeetus - I don't haz it!

Recommended Posts

Diabetes is a family scourge: it killed my grandfather and great-uncle, and it's slowly wearing down my mother.  About a month ago, I did a fasting blood test for triglycerides and blood sugar.  My fasting sugar was 105, slightly into the danger zone for diabetes. (Should be less than 99).  Last week, my doctor did a A1C hemoglobin test, which gives a sort of average blood sugar for the last 90 days. My wife and I were sweating bullets waiting for the results.

I just got the test results today.Normal ranges are 4.1%-6.1%; mine is 5.3%.

I guess all the leafy greens and Tabata intervals are paying off...
