Saturday:

Pulled weeds out front for over an hour and did other miscellaneous chores around the house.

Rewarded myself with an hour of video game time. Crazy how I've forgotten everything I was doing in Mass Effect 3, but it came back pretty quickly.

Lots of creative work today.

 

Sunday:

Went to the reservoir and ran/walked around twice.

Sunday: Ran 8.98 Km (5.58 Mi) in 61'47" with and average pace of 6'52"/Km (11'04"/Mi).

 

Great distance, but horrible time. Lots of elevation though (223 ft).

 

Handstand Practice (5 Mins) outside. Able to hold it for a couple seconds too! Bending my legs actually helps to stay more steady.

Stardate 20140310.2124 This is England!

 

Got up and ran this morning before work! It was super short and I'm really hurting from yesterday, but I got out of bed, so that's a win. Found a bright white soccer shirt that my grandma brought over a couple years ago that I haven't felt comfortable in in a while. Rocked that with my small running shorts, felt like a speedster! Need to rack up my mileage to truly embody this look.

 

Went on an Anchor Boarding today, so more unexpected exercise than usual.

 

Finally busted out our Spiralizer and started prepping veggies. Turnips, Sweet Potatoes, Zuchinni, Carrots, Apples...still need to practice how to cook them how I'd like to, but I'm cramming more veggies into my diet!

 


Workout:

 



Ran 1.21 Km (.75 Mi) in 6'15" with an average pace of 5'09"/Km (8'18"/Mi). (Tied for best Ave time recently!).

 

Handstand Practice (5 Mins). Able to do a headstand without my knees on my elbows, which is major improvement.

Had a great day today! totally mixed up my BBWW and added in some new exercises and some extra weight. Had a lot of fun with the Thor Battle Squats, not so much with the Burpees...

Stardate 20140313.1242 The Ups and Downs

 

Another rough day. Didn't get up as planned yesterday. Skipped out on the AM run as I was way sore from the bumped up workout on Tuesday. Had to drive about 150+ miles for work, so had Taco Bell for lunch. Immediately regretted this and felt very guilty.

 

Tried to go the whole night without eating, but instead ended up having Soup and Rice at 10pm.

Stardate 20140313.2042 The Shakeup

 

Did another 2 circuits of the advanced routine from Tuesday. Cut it short so that we had time to BBQ dinner & also so that I don't burn myself out and miss my AM run again.

 

Trying to figure out how I can adjust what I'm trying to do, as I feel like I've stacked the deck against myself this challenge.

 

Would like to find more weighted workouts that I can do inside at home, since I'm not a Gym Member & I have much more time later in the night. Rushing to get my workout done before sunset & before dinner is not working with my wife's schedule.

 

Going to browse around the Warriors for some insight, though I'll probably stay with the Rangers, since I still want to keep running.

 

Are there any Rangers who are lifting heavy in a home gym setting?

Stardate 20140314.2112 The Backslide

 

Today marks the first time this year where I've weighed in at a higher weight than last week. Not sure if this is the 10 week plateau that I've heard about, or if I just dropped my guard this week with Pizza/Taco Bell/Cookies/Creamer/etc...

 

I'm bouncing around some ideas on how I can revise things, but I think the most important thing is to knuckle down and reign my diet back in. I'm going to give my spiralizer a workout this week, the turnip noodles turned out great this evening.

 

Hopefully, next week's weigh in will put me back on track. Bonus points if I can beat my weight from last week!

Just a suggestion, but that run would probably help you feel less sore, since it would loosen up those tight muscles.

Stardate 20140315.2312 Relief

 

I don't know what was going on yesterday, but my weight dropped from 223.8 lbs Friday morning to 221.4 lbs Saturday morning (with no exercise). Very strange, but I feel much better about yesterday's stats now.

 

I managed to get the headstands in last night. I was able to hold 10 seconds with my knees off my elbows, but when I went to do it again a second time I lost my balance and seriously hurt my neck on the right side. That coupled with never ending phone calls and texts all night lead to only about 2-3 hours of solid sleep, then a full 10 hour workday on Saturday.

 

Looking forward to a lighter work day tomorrow and time to squeeze in a run!

I've never been to any kind of expo and I live in California...no excuses. The closest I came was a sidewalk sale in SF with $2/lb deals. ($2 for a pound of comics, regardless of type or format).

your paleo is starting to look like mine - eggs, eggs, eggs, eggs

but mine has more bacon as i don't eat steak and equal parts of broccoli and cauliflower.

 

one single issue comic here is at least $8 - might be more by now as haven't brought any in ages.

our con isn't very flash but it's the best place to get any geek stuff as they import stuff just for it and it's all cheaper than normal retail.

funko pop vinyls - i stock up when i visit america as they're $10 there. yeah they're $25 here

Had an awesome workout tonight, it took a little longer than in the past, but I was drenched in sweat after. Made sure to do my Handstand practice ASAP after getting home so that I could get it done.

 

Realized that the "Farmer's Walk" I've been doing is probably not the most accurate description. It's really more of just weighted lunges.

Had a great day today! totally mixed up my BBWW and added in some new exercises and some extra weight. Had a lot of fun with the Thor Battle Squats, not so much with the Burpees...

Stardate 20140324.1143 Down Time

 

Didn't manage to get to anything for the whole weekend. Kinda bummed about that, as I can feel my challenge slipping away from me. I'm still dropping weight, and eating well, though there was entirely too many cookies and beers over the weekend.

 

I've been stressing myself out by trying to do too much, so these logs are going to be getting shorter.

i've felt the same lately. but my weeks are slipping away from me and thankfully as i have no life i manage to pull it all back on the weekend.

I wouldn't recommend doing the Thor squats. My right hand has been really bothering me and I think that they're the cause. I'm dropping them to see if the pain goes away.

I've noticed that I may have over-done the challenge goals for this run, and that is making it hard for me to hit everything. On the other hand, I AM exercising more than ever, so it's not a wash. You might be in the same boat!

 

I was looking at your food intake for last week when you had the weight gain, you had a lot of bacon around that time. Bacon is such a high sodium food that it might have been soaking up your body's water!

 

Anyway, you're still kicking some serious ass, don't get discouraged! You've got this!
