Jeans and Weights

Recommended Posts

As of this morning, I fit back into a pair of my jeans! I started this challenge not being able to wear any of them (which made casual Fridays frustrating), and decided not to just cave in and buy a bigger size. I'm so excited about this! I'm celebrating by wearing my five finger shoes to work with my jeans. I also received a compliment from a co-worker today saying that it looked like I had been working out. Score!

I also broke 100 pounds on my deadlift this week (105# for 5 reps). Considering I started with the bar a few weeks ago, I'm pretty pleased :)

Woot woot! Good on ya.

I've lost quite a bit of weight now, and every time I drop a size, I throw the old stuff away. "Won't be needing *that* anymore" That way I don't have any excuses. If I can't fit these jeans, then I either lose the weight or go naked ;)

WTG! I honestly didn't realize this was in the woot room and thought it was about lifting weights while wearing jeans. I have the unfortunate anecdotal evidence that such concepts are a BAD idea. They don't make crotches that strong...

Anyways, good for you!

Hahahaha that would indeed be a TERRIBLE idea. Especially squats...*shudder*

Thanks guys :) Now that I can fit into them, they'll be a pretty good metric for size progress.

I think I'm just going to keep this as my general woot thread...it's pretty relevant anyway because my biggest goals are lifting heavier things and fitting into my 15 pairs of beautiful jeans that are currently too small for me.

Well, actually, make that 14! Technically they're not jeans (a little stretchier), but I got them on this morning! They're pretty tight still, but I haven't worn these things since last year. I also was able to get my one and only pair of khaki's on, but they wouldn't clasp. Still, progress! I couldn't even do that a few weeks ago.

On another note, I deadlifted 115# last night! YES! I was also super close to being able to do the splits, which was very exciting. Thanks for all the support guys, it's really helped me stick to my program for so long :)

I have, on three separate occasions, ripped out the crotch of cargo shorts/pants doing barbell squats. I just never learned... last time I ripped my shorts all the way down one leg. On the bright side, the gym was empty, so I just finished my workout. ;)

Guys! Guys! Guess what?

I'm down 10 pounds! After a month! And when your 5'2", 10 pounds makes a pretty big difference :) I tried so hard to stick it out to the end of this challenge to weigh in, but I couldn't contain myself. My curiosity got the better of me, and I'm thrilled.
