Viscura Posted June 17, 2014 Report Share Posted June 17, 2014 For the first time in years, a number of them spent on crutches, I walked further than a mile, and I did it without dying at the end. AND it didn't take somebody with a gun to my head (or, y'know, to my games or books or something, which would probably be more effective). It wasn't at all intentional, just that the chemist didn't have my prescription goodies when I went the first time so I did the round trip twice. It wasn't exactly a speedwalk, either, it took an hour total for both round trips, so if I was on The Long Walk I'd have been shot pretty early on*, but it counts! And I'm dead chuffed with myself. Just a couple of weeks ago the conversation in my head would have gone as follows: I really need to go collect that prescription. I only have enough for half a dose tonight.Yeah, but it'll do, I'll go tomorrow.But half a dose is bad. It'll screw up my head, and that takes days to fix itself again.Yeah, but, I already did a thing today. It'll do tomorrow.But-Tomorrow.B-Tomorrow!...?[quiet guilt] Tomorrow... But not today!
