New start in real life

Well hello from sunny Australia. Yes we have nerds here too, not all Hugh Jackman as wolverine here although that could be a goal.

The name is newstart but we should begin this story with the old me. The newstart actually began on 12th April 2003 when the old me died. Literally. The sedentary life, stress, bad diet, smoking and life got enough to make me sick enough that I cannot remember the 10 km drive along the freeway in morning rush hour as I drove myself to hospital, through 3 red lights apparently(don't try this at home kids) to park the car in a multi-storey car park, only to drop dead at the elevator. Good thing it was at the hospital I hear you say. Indeed. So with the skill of modern medicine, nurses and science I'm here for my aforementioned newstart. But with the new fangled me the drugs and recovery have led me to be 50 kg heavier than I was so now I'm here.

Diet is now the no salt, no sugar, no junk happy type. So exercise is the plan.

Goals ?

No more dying

Climb a rock wall/ cliff. Funny as there's none here.

Run 10km "fun" run (fun ?)

Lose 50kg or more

Become that bronzed Aussie of screen fame

And with that the journey begins
