Ripple
Welcome! Just because you're a bit late to do this challenge round doesn't mean you can't throw yourself in to the NF community right away! Check out the non-challenge forums, especially the ones that fit your goals. Ask lots of questions. Find a few nerds whose challenge goals are motivating for you and follow their challenges. Start a battle log and begin working on your own quest now! CrackerWatson
Had thought about that after looking at my post. I realised it was a bit wanting in anything. I will in the meantime be starting in my gym at the work with the Stronglifts 5x5 program thanks to a work colleague telling me about that and swinging a kettlebell (or two) at home, also looking to be throwing in bodyweight (but finding that even some of the simple bodyweight stuff is a challenge.) and doing some simple cardio too. I'm in body rebuild mode, been a while since I did anything so trying to get back to it. You'll find stronglifts gets challenging pretty quickly even if it's a piece of cake for you early on.Remember your muscles need time to recover, that is when the strength gains come. So no more than once every 2 days on each muscle. Quote Current challenge: http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/70839-bendy-dradis-stands-up-proper/ Link to comment
CrackerWatson
Being very careful this time about not jumping into too much, I think its one of the reasons why I have failed in the past, starting too full on and then tailing off over time and eventually nothing. I have also been fairly unstructured previously, this time following a plan, lifting 3 times a week followed by a bit of cardio, with a little bit of active rest on the off days. looking forward to starting on Monday. I know its supposed to be start now type of thing, but I cant do any structured lifting at weekends so its always going to be Mon/Wed/Fri. 1 Quote Level 6 - Human - (North of the wall) Wyldling/Celt - Ranger/Assassin.Epic quest I Battle Log I Accountabilibuddies 3 5 I Challenge: 1 2 3 4 5(STR) - 4 (DEX) - 1 (STA) - 3 (CON) - 6 (WIS) - 4 (CHA) - 2"Spartans! Pop around and see what others are doing and you'll soon enough make some friends that will help hold you accountable! 1 Quote There is a road, no simple highway, Between the dawn and the dark of night, And if you go no one may follow, That path is for your steps alone. SpecialSundae
Helloooo! Glad you found your own way here. NerdFitness has been a great support to me since I started lifting and probably a better source of information and advice than any book... Feel free to give me a shout if there's anything I can do to help! 1 Quote Link to comment
