Hi everyone, greetings from Brazil :)

I'm a total n00b when it comes to fitness. I've been overweight my whole life, I guess mostly due to genetics and inertia (and my mom loving to cook delicious deserts). I've tried to get fit a few times, but all fell short a few weeks afterwards when I encountered some minor roadblock.

However, in the last few months things have been a little different:

Five months ago I weighed 95Kg (~210 lb), the heaviest that I ever got. But then life happened, I started living by myself, and something changed: I've lost 10Kg (~22 lbs) without even trying! I guess that was a mix of having to do housework/take care of myself, plus eating less sweets and high-calorie meals (since I don't know how to cook them!). However, regardless of the reason, this showed me that I can lose weight, if I'm able to change consistently (instead of trying a uber-hard workout and giving up two weeks afterwards).

Nowadays, I still want to lose more fat (my current goal is to get to 75Kg/165lb), but now I'm confident that I can. A few weeks ago I started following Runtastic's 6 week beginner training plan (do you use it too? Friend me there! https://www.runtastic.com/en/users/renato-zannon), and this week I stumbled on nerdfitness (yay!). I'm now trying to follow a Paleo-ish+dairy diet, exercise 6 days a week (alternating between runtastic's plan and nerdfitness' beginner workout, plus a rest day) and see where that leads me :)
