Discipulus
Hello everyone,I first heard about nerd fitness years ago through Google. Needless to say I wasn't ready to make any changes at that time. Now, I'm 26, 270 lbs, 5'10", and ready to make some changes. All together I'm on about 10 different medications for health issues. So here's my goals:Alter body composition to be less than 10% body fat. Healthy eating - starting with AutoImmune Protocol to attempt to determine if there are food sensitivities that are causing my health issues. First step is finding a vegetable that I like to eat and begin incorporating that. I've started doing body weight exercises already (thank you NF!) and am really looking forward to cleaning up my life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote Link to comment
Jothra
The nice thing about vegetables is that there are about 87 million different kinds, so there must be something you'll like out there somewhere. 1 Quote Jothra i | ii | iii | iv | v | vi | vii | viii Link to comment
Basement Cat
Hello! I had a problem with veggies too, mostly because of the texture. My trick is to make soup: put a bunch of veggies in a pot of broth (veggie, chicken, whatever) and cook until everything is tender, then puree the lot. I use a stick blender for that. Season liberally with pepper, cayenne, other and just chug it down! A nice bowl of soup makes a good side for any dish. When the weather is warm, you can drink that cold. I like to use a mix of carrots, onions, garlic, celery, tomatoes, parsnips, spinach and bell peppers. Boom! Homemade V8. 1 Quote Current form: Chubby House Cat (lvl4) Weight objective: 20% S. 4 P. 6 E. 4 C. 7 I. 8 A. 4 L. 5 Battle log Current Challenge Handy linky. Link to comment

Hardway
I find I can put a lot of spinach chopped up with my black beans and not notice the spinach to much. I mix fruit in with it and that helps a lot. 1 Quote L3 Human Ranger/Assassin Str. 6 Dex. 2 Sta. 1 Con. 12 Wis. 8 Cha. 3 https://www.nerdfitness.com/character/58014 Motto: Where there is life, there is hope.
