And out of politeness i did not read it because a) I don't want to hear about their lady parts or whatever and it is just none of my business and rude. So I thought i would start a men's only thread in the hopes we could talk about men's health issues. Improvements to our man specific health due to exercise and lifting....so for any women reading this right now I would ask that you please stop.....go ahead and go...right now...*ahem*.....Okay now that the girls are gone....I noticed something over the past...well really the past month. Not so much when i first started lifting and exercising back in late october but just the past few weeks...but it has some back story. See I used to be married right, some of you know this. some you don't (most don't i believe) but anyway things were awful. between stress and my healt (i'm realizing this last one now) i had some Erectile dysfunction issues. I thought it was due to my back pain since i'd herniated some discs years ago. Anyway I've had some real trouble over the past few years getting aroused and i think some of that is what caused my ex to cheat and blah blah blah...anyway I've noticed over the past month that now i have a...well a boner all the time. Like a pubescent teenager in Math class. Sorry this is TMI but I read that it is an increase in testosterone from lifting most likely and this was a super good thing for my sexual health. Also i was trying to find other medical benefits from testosterone increase as well but couldn't find much besides muscle recovery. Anyone have any knowledge on this? Also let's talk about anything men health related. I feel like it should have it's own section and it might but i didn't find it so i'm doing this here. Also also sorry for the TMI. Link to comment

I've also found in myself that I have a higher sex drive ever since I started getting in shape. For me it I think it has peaked. Either it was a short term spike or getting used to the new norm. For a while there...yeah, felt like a teenager.It took a while though for "reality" to catch up so to speak. I guess it is different for single guys though (best way to kill your sex life is to get married). When it was at a peak, I was still a fat guy. I had lost weight and begun to put on some muscle so I had made progress, but not enough to change the fact that I was a fat guy. This seems to have changed as of late, while my sex drive isn't as supercharged, a switch appears to have been flipped in my wife now that I'm not a fat guy any more, making the supercharged sex drive more useful. currently cutting battle log challenges: 21,20, 19,18,17,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 don't panic! Being in a stressful (and possibly depressive) state can cause all kinds of whack with the libido. With the increase in testosterone and most likely the better mental health and mental image you have of yourself it has helped your previous issues. Use it wisely I dig the Math class reference. Man I had hot teachers....My hottest one I think was geography teacher and french teacher in middle school, didn't have any complete knock outs in high school. We had a former college cheerleader in my high school, but she was too skinny for my tastes. My confidence is much higher, and I am starting to get more attention some of ladies. I vaguely remember at least 3 stories about high school teachers nailing their students. (I think one of them was even kinda hot).The working out/eating right thing seems to have a pretty cumulative effect on your sex drive. You feel better and feel that you look better which makes you feel sexier which in turn makes you feel better The perfect feedback loop!I've been close to having defined abs SO many times over the years and this is gonna be the year it happens. I can't believe how quickly the weight has been coming off on paleo. Link to comment

I graduated high school 10 years ago at 150-155lbs. now i'm 185-190 but its a good strong muscley 190 and this is good. but some fat has come with it. not much. just some. I am cutting down my fat% (or trying to even though i don't often stick with it strictly enough)...I also am going to get my abs back!ABS! Link to comment

Meaning you stand at attention more often, for longer periods.- More muscle = improved self-esteem. There are official studies, so I'm not just saying it. As shallow as it is, you feel way more confident at 200 lbs 15% than at 250 30% Why must I put a name on the foods I choose to eat and how I choose to eat them? I mean I saw it on TV from a fitness person, so I dunno how factual it is, but it's deffinitly a hope thing for anybody who is really overweight. The more weight lost the more you can see... uh... yourself...As for the weight loss vs. weight gain and Mr. Peeps deciding if he wants to work or not. I've definitley noticed a change from being lighter in weight and active compare to how I am now and overweight and just starting to exericse again. I remember in college being ready to go and not worrying about anything. Where as now, I'm only 25, but like 80 pounds overweight, I'm still ready to go I just don't know how long I'll be able to go for and the "quality" of it all.And for physical fitness and self-esteem. There's a HUGE difference from sitting around and doing nothing compared to being active. My weight hasn't changed much, but because I've been exercising I feel a hell of a lot more confident in myself. It kind of makes me wonder what's going to happen when I'm at my target weight...
