Lol. No overhead squats. But a few things. 1) we went for a walk through a downtown canal/park and she had some heels (hadn't switched to her walking shoes yet) and came across a hill so I picked her up and carried her down it. At one point we were sort of dancing around just asking silly and I put my hands on her waist and sort of did a push press motion to get her up in the air and spin. The last thing...well that's no ones business...

Thank goodness for strength training. :D

Sounds like a wonderful night.

After ten years with the same partner, I'd be lucky to get a dry hump. Monogamy sucks, and not in the good way.

It's statements like this that make me laugh when people are against gay marriage; it's just like hetero marriage!Headaches, fatigue, "not in the mood", your spouse is pissed at your for not doing that thing they asked you to do but you're pretty sure they didn't ask you in the first place so you're mad at them for yelling at you like a crazy person, etc. etc.

Married women have an amazing ability to develop headaches 10 minutes before bed a solid majority of days.

Alright man thread I need some man advice on women.

So I met this girl at the end of the semester and we started talking and such but it was far too close to the end of the semester for me to try and start anything seeing as she had to go to the other side of the country once the semester ended. I did get her number and we do text each other every few days but I'm afraid if I keep up this banter I'll end up in the dreaded friend zone. I'd like to avoid this but I'm not sure if I should just keep chatting with here for the rest of the summer and wait for school to start up to ask her on a date or limit how much I talk to her and wait. Just curious what you guys would do in my situation...

When does school start back up?

I suggest asking one night if you can call "to catch up" and talk to her for a while. Start doing that whenever you want to talk to her. Texting someone isn't very memorable and when you stop replying, you go out of her mind. But when you call, especially if you can catch her at night not long before bed, she will think of your voice and just as importantly your laugh when she falls asleep.

I would also suggest after talking to her for a while, ask her if she wants to go out with you when she gets back in town (or you do, whatever is the case). Let her know that you want ot be more than just friends.

Final note, you can get out of the friend zone. So, if it does unfortunately happen, but she is worth fighting for, go for it. It isn't easy and 9 times out of ten (if you are lucky), it will fail. But there is still that 1 time it can happen.

the other (more risky) option is to skirt the boundary of inappropriate (I seem to excel in this don't I?) with your texts. As said above if you keep yourself memorable then you are more likely to be kept out of the "friend zone", and if you are generically supportive. Unfortunatley: you have to be an a-hole, it isn't for everyone and it's EXTREMELY easy to cross the line, and you could go down in a gigantic ball of flame...you need to be prepared for it. That being said "Nothing ventured, nothing gained". It depends where you want things to go, your personality, and where things are coming from. Just an alternate option...

I would do as mentioned...

1) if/when possible call to "catch up".

2) as mentioned before stay memorable.

3) when appropriate drop a comment "you know if we keep this up I'm going to have to just take you out for dinner when we get back to school". Or something.

4) treat her through text and talk as of you're dating her. Don't go overboard but make of obvious your interest. And be confident about it. Let it seem like you're the awesome dude that wants her.

5) be awesome.
