Beerzerker
Hey, all, Beerzerker here, Just signed up for Nerd Fitness Academy last week. My wife's been a member for a while, and I thought I should join in the fun. I'm in decent shape, but want to improve. Currently, I mountain bike with my son during the summer and snowboard in the winter with my son and my daughter(she skis). We live in western Wisconsin, where we've been having a lot of rain recently. Looking forward to getting to know some of you and letting my geek loose a bit. One of my hobbies is making beer at home, and I love the the process as well as the end result. My goal is to get under 20 % body fat. I'm currently at 22 %. I posted my before pictures and stats over here on Facebook: I'm 39 (that number changes in August). See you in the adventure! 1 Quote Level 6 - Ranger Technomage- Battle Log "Easy things are seldom worth doing." - Quote from Firestar, one of my favorite books. Fitness goal: Lower weight from 243 lbs to below 230, or lower body fat from 22% to below 20%. Why fitness matters(my big why): I want to be strong & fit so when I want to try or do any activity, I know my body will be able to do it. Or, stated another way: My level of fitness is directly proportional to the level of awesomeness I can achieve. https://www.facebook.com/intensityforlife/ http://www.intensityforlife.com Link to comment
Grymm
Hello! Let's get down to business - what kind of beer do you fancy? I appreciate a well crafted IPA but gravitate to the darker stuff myself. Quote Intro Challenges: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 Link to comment

I appreciate a well crafted IPA but gravitate to the darker stuff myself. Dark beers were my first love. I didn't like beer until I tried milk stout. I've learned I like hoppy pale ales and IPAs. One of my friends introduced me to the joy of making coconut porter, which is probably my favorite Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using Tapatalk 1 Quote Level 6 - Ranger Technomage- Battle Log "Easy things are seldom worth doing." - Quote from Firestar, one of my favorite books. Grymm
I've never had coconut porter, and now I have another thing to look forward to in life. Thanks! 1 Quote Intro Challenges: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 Link to comment
Beerzerker
Some commercial coconut porters taste like sunscreen because they use extract flavoring. My homebrew uses fresh toasted coconut. Laghail
Hey@Beerzerker and greetings from eastern Wisconsin. Milk stout fan myself, there's one called Ol' Dirty Santa they brew down the block from me and it's pretty fantastic.
