Overcame fear of group fitness classes

I'm super not-fit and generally super afraid of trying out group fitness. I had done beginner yoga a couple times over the last 10 years but that was it.

 

I've been a member of my current gym since last October and had never tried any of the free classes. I was afraid because I had seen glimpses of the classes and they all looked too hard. I realized today that this was a big deal for me, that I had finally overcame my fear and used my 20 seconds of courage!


This week I attended my third circuit class, going 1x/week. I have to modify a lot of the movements but I survived that first class and came back two more times!

Congrats!! :)  Awesome that you went back, too.

 

I used to be all about the classes -- but being a creature of anti-social habits, once I made it into a class I would go to the same one, stand in the same spot, and do it forever!

Finding the courage to start is often the hardest.
