Raincloak
Help me out, my friends. Time often gets away from me because I have "nothing to do," and I wind up filling it with something pointless such as video games or window shopping. So, suppose you have 60 minutes to do something productive. I'll leave the definition of "productive" up to you. Assume further that you are at home in a small apartment and have access to the usual stuff one can find in a small apartment, except there is no TV. Also assume that by the time the hour is over, you have returned to your baseline state, which is clean and dressed (so workouts, baking projects, etc. that require time to clean up must take less than one hour). Projects that take less time are okay. What would you do? Help me make a big, big list! The more the better. Try to think of awesome things (I know my list so far is mostly chores, which are not that awesome but can lead to greater awesomeness). I plan to choose my favorites and make one of those word cloud posters to stick on my wall, or possibly a checklist. 1. Workout for 40 minutes (shower for 20)2. Bake brownies (and wash dishes)3. Learn 20 new words in a foreign language4. Clean fridge, wash dishes, and vacuum5. Read 1 chapter of a textbook (but not enough time to do homework problems)6. Listen to a podcast lecture7. Go for long walk8. Call grandparents (yes, this takes a while...)9. Plan a weekend trip and buy tickets10. Warm up, do 4 sun salutations and stretch11. Make tea and say prayers12. Do the laundry13. Take bubble bath and groom thoroughly14 ....? Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future. Hylian Assassin 5'5", 143 lbs. Half-marathon: 3:02It is pitch dark. I-Jo
I'm a sewer/arts and crafter- and I'm also quiet cluttered. So often Saturday mornings- I have to be at the gym by 9- and I get up at 730 or so... I'll spend 45-50 minutes tidying and cleaning (outside the regular "cleaning"). Organizing fabrics and beads- or catching up on the regular house cleaning. > check new youtube videos for workouts. > Do laundry. >Take a power nap (that is TOTALLY productive) > Prepare the weeks food (I have individually bagged carrots and little containers of cheese and things). > Call a friend you haven't spoken to in a while. > Find new music (I'm a dancer- I'm always on the hunt) > Weed out clothes for good will >Pay bills >Sort mail. concretecavewoman
- Gut check any goals that you've set up for the week/month/year. Review the list and assess progress.- Write a letter to a friend, a real one (real friend, real letter, real paper).- Clean baseboards. Seriously, clean baseboards just change the feel of a room. RisenPhoenix
I'm pretty low key, so filling an hour up is pretty dull for me: ~Read a book/comic/newspaper/anything that is entertaining and not work related~Research some meals to cook in the near future (that day or the day after)~Make a grocery list (and go shopping, if it's close enough to you and you can pull it off)~Plot a weekend adventure (I really should take my own advice on this one)~Meet up with a friend for coffee/drink~Zombie-proof your apartment/plan for what you would do RisenPhoenix, the Entish Aikidoka Challenge: RisenPhoenix Turns to Ash "The essence of koryu [...is] you offer your loyalty to something that you choose to regard as greater than yourself so that you will, someday, be able to offer service to something that truly is transcendent." ~ Ellis Amdur, Old School Link to comment

Nanashi
For me thats funny, because you have the inverse of my problem, anyway, if i had 60 minutes: -Try to meet new people online-Review everything that you did in the week, write down everything that was bad but compensate with something good to decide somethings that you could improve in your life-Have a bike tour in your vicinity-See if your friends need help with house chores in their houses-Clean and organize your computer desktop and "start menu"-Make a list of books and movies that you desire to have watched before you die-Dont die before reading and watching all the material aforementioned (ok, almost all the movies take more than 60 minutes, but anyway...)-Search for your favorite place in the city-Go bird watch from your window-Change the place of everything that you can on your house-Try to apply feng shui to your place-Go out to help people in anyway that you can Always try to inovate, thats the spirit.Good luck Level 1 ~ Revenant ~ Freelancer (Adventurer)Strenght (STR): 1 Dexterity (DEX): 4 Stamina (STA): 1 Constitution (CON): 2 Wisdom (WIS): 4 Charisma (CHA): 3"One little fading light against a wold of darkness"Battle Log Link to comment

Irish Oisin
This week I had an hour to kill and I did the following Cup of tea.Clean ashes out of the fireplace.Prepare a new fire.Framed some comic books I have from the 50's, 60's and then some newer ones like Action comics 900 and Spiderman 700 etc.Vacuum cleaned the ground floor of the house. It was more fun than you'd think! Usually I'll fit 10-20 push-ups into a spare hour as well if I'm doing several things at once like that, and my dog thinks "Oh great, Oisin is getting down to play!!" and jumps all over me. He's a labrador, about 30kgs pawing at me and crawling under me Go BIG, or go home. Link to comment
Pretzle
A bit late but some more suggestions: - Clean 1 room (or even 1 drawer/bookshelf and really sort things (what to keep, throw out, give away etc.))- Write a short story (just think of something in 10 minutes and WRITE it - no worrying about perfect sentences etc. Just get it on paper, within the hour.)- Shave - Bake something (cookies, quick bread, granola, roasted chickpeas)- Watch informative/educational videos (ted.com/youtube)- Play DDR/stepmania (dancing game)- wash your curtains (ok, with drying etc. it takes more than hour, but putting them back up is the next time you're bored another hour filled)- Make an Anki (ankisrs.net) deck with inspirational quotes- Memorise a poem level 10 wood elf assassin Intro| 1st challenge | .... | 6th | 7th | 8th | 9th | 10th | Current @ warriors Link to comment
