I CAN'T BELIEVE IT :O

We had a practice with our river equipment for the firefighters at the pool,  using the banana boat (to grab someone out of the water ) and the ultra tight floating suits ! Here are some pics....ladies calm down I am not wearing a shirt (I even put them on FB...never been done)

Hit a slight wall last night.... coach called me telling me the fight was off just as I was about to go jogging,  decided to take the night off,  today I was confirmed that the fight will be delayed 2 weeks later...march 14th... 2 more weeks to train, 3 weeks before the fight.

It's quite hard when your moral gets destroyed from not having a fight, I guess it is a true test of will, I'm re-scheduling my training to adapt for the next 3 weeks :) #day1

Sorry to hear that your fight was delayed, that's really tough when you're getting in the groove to go!

 

I have to join the fangirl base and say: you are looking HOT. I'm sorta kinda crushing. It definitely helps that you are beastmoding this life-change, and girls love a man with determination.

NOW I have good news...I believe good things come to those....who just f*kin take it! I was offered a fight on an event where I was supposed to be cornerman, le 8th of march, Exhibition fight (no scoring, no winner) pretty much a demonstration for the crowd, 3 rounds of 2 minutes, but against the silver gloves champion, weighing 220 pounds, with 8 or 9 fights...my coach told me, and it took me 3 seconds before I said YES ABSOLUTELY.  The thing is...it's a great chance to get experience for the fight the week after.  Can't wait to try it out ! We are 4 fighters from my hometown at this event with close to 25 followers ( out fan club ) heading out to the event.

Now... I have accomplished a few objectives in the last year ( I think)...

I would like the community to decide on my level, my stats ( str...sta...dex..con..wis..cha)  as I have not (sadly) updated them...but I believe the ones in my signature might be off :) Here is a challenge for you all !

Fight week has begun,  my weight is stabilizing around 275-277,  I will be fighting twice in 6 days,  first fight 4 hours drive to,  and the friday after, 8 hours to drive to get to the fight.   This saturday I will be going against their champ for an exhibition, a good way to get controlled ring experience.

 

Now...Not quite sure WHAT I should be eating untill then, and on the day of the fight, as to have energy but now be bloated for it.

 

I will have pictures and videos of these events :D Thanks NF community

Fought at 274pounds (good hydration and good food all day long) , all went well I must say, I impressed alot of people at the gym we were at. Got out with barely a scratch, impressed myself and others against a fighter with 10 fights and a championship win (silver gloves). The referee was the same as my coaches last fight 15 years ago !  I loved the experience. Was a little stressed when I first walked in the gym, then it all dropped when I got dressed, warmed-up, then it was all confidence and fun. My opponent was a real gentleman too I must say,  being my first fight he did not try to finish me off, but there still was good intensity, we can think of it as a public sparring. Friday I will be fighting again against someone 6 foot 8  285 pounds ( last saturday her was 218 pounds)....I have rarely met taller and heavier than me, can't wait to get into the ring.

The only pro photo of me.....is one where I get hit with a solid hook ! Stayed on my feet, and if you look closely, my glove is just about to hit full force :)

Yet more warrior pics !   The shoulder is back on track, rotator cuff got a little tired,  I just realised I am a few pounds away from 150!!!!!   I will be going to sun bathe in Cuba for a week in april....first thing I packed was a pair of boxing gloves and some targets. Any ideas as to what kind of workout I can manage in a southern hotel?
