Maledictus
I'll repeat something that was said to me when I first joined here. I had difficulty believing it back then but it's true. If you want to get ok at distance running, do a lot of sprints and strength work, little or no distance running. I didn't run at all between a tough mudder and a spartan sprint (3 months or so) and my 5k time went from 44 minutes to just under 30 (neither of which is outstanding I know). Of course, if you want to get amazingly good at distance running you'll need to do some .. Forgot to point it out last time as the before and after derailed my thinking Dictated over the phone to trained howler monkeys who post it on the Internet for me. doggiesnot
Awesome! I have done one mud-run and I absolutely loved it! You look like you've lost a lot of weight. You will find that everything (and especially a mud run) gets easier with less weight to lug around. Kudos to you! Quote Link to comment
W4DM
Nice going! That is some great progress. I'm thinking of doing a mud run in the spring when it starts warming up again.
