Non Physical Progress Parenting Woot

Recommended Posts

my eldest daughter told me today she was discussing parents with her friends at school and pretty much every one of them said something along the lines of "my dad loves me but he's really fat and unhealthy and always angry/upset".  She said "my dad used to be like that but now he runs obstacle races and he does get mad but only when someone deserves it .. and he's really strong"

... felt all sorts of wonderful.  Not least because my daughter still feels able to tell me this stuff (I know, enjoy it while it lasts...)

That is great!  My kids are in their 20's/30's now and I've had 3 of them tell me in the last month that they are proud of me and that they boast about me.  it is an AWESOME feeling.
