Now that was a good surprise

Recommended Posts

Stepped on a scale this morning.  This is unusual because I normally eye it, sitting there on the cold bathroom floor, as if it might attack me.  So today as I was getting in the shower, I stepped right on that metalic monster and ....

I saw that I've dropped weight!

Sure, I still have about 25lbs to go, but damn!  I knew changes were happening because I am wearing clothing that I'd put away for a year or more because it no longer fit.  Thank you Paleo, I am sorry for all the crap I said about you a couple of years ago.  Now once I start making regular exercise (have been sporadically working the beginner bodyweight program) a part of my life watch out world!  :-)

So happy to have found this site, so happy to have listened to what Steve was saying, so happy to have everyone here to show me the way.

I am amazed at the things I can do that I was so certain I couldn't.  Like not eating cheese, or giving up processed foods (used to love a Smart Ones microwave meal for lunch during the week), or giving up artificial sweetners, or even added sugar.  I've been doing the Paleo thing for about a month and a half now.  It really isn't that hard, I don't feel deprived, and I love results.  I gave my daughter infinite crap about her ex boyfriend's Paleo lifestyle a couple of years ago.  Now I ask her why she didn't join him in it.

It's great, I'm basically paleo except with added dairy and a few other minor things.

And good for you! :D

It's not 80% diet, 20% exercise, it's 100% diet, 100% exercise. Give it your all.

My journey (Date - Total - BF % - LBM)

The results I've seen on people who do Paleo have been amazing.  Not just on this site, but in actual people I know.  Not going to lie, there are times where I think "My god, I would love to have ___!" but then I think about it, and think how I'd really rather not cheat (yet).  Maybe when I drop another 10 pounds.

I never went in 100% to be honest, it's all depending on everyone, but it does work wonders if one dedicated himself to it. (or herself)
