breezy_bay Posted December 6, 2013 Report Share Posted December 6, 2013 YAY!!!!I loath the squat snatch, the overhead squat...pretty much any movement that requires weight being overhead. So we had to do a snatch complex tonight (see below) and I was determined to work on my form. I spent an extra 10 mins on the squat snatch alone after everyone else moved to the next part of the WOD. My extra work paid off when I PRed at 80 lbs. it was only 5 lbs more than my last PR (and I almost made it to 85, but dropped it coming out of the OHS). Needless to say, mission accomplished. Attached is a picture at the bottom of my squat snatch while I was practicing with 55 lbs. It's weird to think I was having problems with the 15 lb bar 6 months ago. Luckily, I had a bit of the flexibility before I started, so I didn't have much work to do to get low. But I have plenty of other areas to work on, so I'm ok with that. Post here if you get your PR!!
