Tom Kenobi
I made the transition to the Ranger crew a few months back & have been slowly navigating my way through learning the iron. I have been reading "Starting Strength" by Rippetoe and, since I am unfortunately going solo, taking my time when it comes to weight progression to focus on form like a crazy man. Before switching to the rangers I've never deadlifted before, whenever the last time it was that I benched anything, it was in my teens and my form sucked BAD. Up until the switch to the Rangers, I was an assassin and focused on bodyweight exercises and adding weight to squats and lunges with what I had a home. The heaviest I've went on squats at home was about 75lbs - 55lbs on a curl bar (very limited set of plates at home) plus 20lbs in a vest. Deadlifts this week: Bar + 25lb plates on each sideSquats: Same as DLBench: Bar + 40lbs on each side. Might not be much to some, but I'm proud of the progress I've made. 2 Quote "First, decide who you would be and then do what you must do." ~Epictetus Link to comment

Yeah, I'm digging through "Starting Strength" and liking it. Almost done with the book and have changed my techniques to reflect more of what I've been learning through that book. Good stuff! Kunai
Very nice. Quote Height 6'2" Age 26 345/215/435 Strength isn’t just about winning. Even if my attempts are pathetic and comical, and even if I’m covered in the mud of my defeat, if I can keep fighting and look up at the sky as I lie on the ground, that alone is proof of true strength!
