Way less work than shaving daily! If you mean that it's hard to get past the itchy phase, it just takes time. That part put me off my first beard. But once you get there, it's not itchy anymore.Agreed, beard is much less hassle to maintain, that the amount of time you might spend per week shaving. Also I know that I don't like having hair in my mouth if you know what i'm saying...i doubt others do either. However Some women have told me they don't like to feel like they're with a pre teen being all shaved. so...i dunno. it's hard to say. Personally i just trim it way down. I don't like being bushy. I have no hair on my entire body but i swear I have a wolverine in my pants. TMI? Probably. Do I care? NOt really. Link to comment

I'm not an extremely hairy guy, but enough that I feel trimming things down just look better. I also have the occasional hair spots show up on the back....only noticeable if you're up close, but its enough for me to take action. I get that shit waxed! I keep the boys shaved, but I leave the lawn as it is (though I do keep it a little trimmed ... no need to let things go nuts). Mostly I just make sure it's all tidy and appealing. (quick note: if you're going to shave the boys this is a thing you you really must do with a regular old store bought razor ... ideally one with many heads and gel. Do not use a brush and a safety razor no matter how manly it seems. It will be painful and sad and it just might tarnish your wedding night a little bit .... or so I've heard).
