Ahoy thar!

Owing to my general procrastination and obliviousness to the passage of time, I'm just now getting to this despite having been following the site since Steve was a mere three articles deep. Not much to tell; I'm at an age that I lovingly refer to as "too old to bother, too young to care", have somehow hovered at around 285ish at 5'9'' and am probably about half a hot pocket away from a heart attack. All told, it's been a grand life of debauchery, but all good things.....

 

Right then! Random lists!

 

Goals:

-Drop around 50 pounds. Although I'm actuall the most fit I've been in my adult life (well, the strongest, anyway.) due to discovering powerlifting in my late 20's, my knees don't seem to care if it's fat or muscle pressing down on them. I'll be sticking to the slow and steady approach to minimize strength loss.

-Overcome my crippling sugar addiction. I know people who have had an easier time kicking heroin.

-improve my cardio to any degree. Because I really don't like running 30 feet and throwing up.

 

Nerd Cred:

-Have been playing D&D since the 1st edition blue box.

-Am old enough to have seen Ghostbusters and the three (and ONLY three) Indiana Jones films on the big screen and again on betamax. (+20 points if you actually remember betamax.)

-Once built a replica of the leather jacket worn by the Kurgan in the first (and only good) Highlander film; Proceeded to wear it for most of my junior year of highschool.

-Captains a pirate-themed dodgeball team in a local league. Go Jolly Dodgers!

-Went to comic book college.
