My diet soda days are over.

Recommended Posts

I was 15 years old when I got anorexia, since then seven years have passed and I have moved from having an eating disorder to simply having disordered eating. Now I'm eating, but I count every single calorie and that's a bad habit that I have realized that I need to get rid off if my relationship with food ever will return to normal. I just poured my last bottle of diet soda down the drain and I'm now aiming to eat things that are good for me rather than just focusing on the amount of calories they contain. No paleo tho, since I'm a flexible vegetarian(I eat meat only at family dinners and when fearing starvation), and I spent far too many years fearing pasta to ever give it up again.

My focus will instead be on eating a balanced and healthy diet without my usual dependence of low-fat options and artificial sweeteners. I also hope to return to exercising in a healthy manner as the only training taking place right now is on my Pokemon X.

Thank you, to be honest I prefer methods of exercising that are mindless enough to allow me to not think about the fact that I'm exercising. So taking long walks(maybe get back into running) and using my weighted hula-hoop to strengthen my core while listening to audiobooks suits me perfectly. But I also hope to get back to doing some simple body weight exercises to regain some of my lost muscle mass.

Sounds like the makings of a six week challenge to me. Why not head over to the recruits and sign up? Maybe your goals can be, walking with an eye to running 3x/ week, and either Beginner body weight workouts or hula hoop 3x/week and cleaning up your eating?
