  1. To me it's about building really functional strength. Lots of pullups mean I can pull my body up, hand-stands mean I can hold my body up. Box jumps help me jump higher and more. It's simple, but I like knowing my body can do those things when I want it to.
  2. One mistake people make is they move their hands a little too far up. You want your hands to be right in line with your nipples(heh...but true) and you should feel it a little more. There are other pushup variations, but that's often a good place to start. Incline and decline pushups are the next thing I would recommend, they work your chest in different ways.
  3. This is a fantastic progression! Thank you!
  4. Thanks! Yeah I've seen that before and he jokes about people wanting to human flag before they can handstand, so handstand is what I'm doing a lot of at the moment, just trying to get off the wall.
  5. Hello Nerdfitness! This is my first ever post in what seems like a wonderful community of people. So my goal, by the end of the summer is to be able to do a human flag, and I'd love to get advice from anyone on how to train, what to train and what kind of progression I should look at. Just for a little reference, I'm already in fairly decent shape, 50 pushups in a set, 20 pull ups, nothing to write home about but not starting from zero. Thanks so much guys!
