Notes:

Had my procedure today, good news bad news is that everything looks great, so downside is still don’t know what the problem is that is causing the sharp abdomen pain several times per week. Doctor says it could be intestinal spasms from IBS. Not sure because when I was on zero food before the procedure I was still getting pains.

 

Time will tell, back to normal tomorrow hopefully.

Starting to put things together, reviewed my journals and I ended up having pain on days when I drank very little water. Going to focus on hydrating this week and will see if the pains come back.

 

Run went pretty well. Kept it light and could tell I need to stretch more to keep the plantar fasciitis from coming back

 - Able to keep up with pre injury pace.

 - minimal pain.

 - was super winded after 15 minutes of on pace running.

Taking a break from daily weight measurements. Will start measuring weight on Sundays for a while.

 

Also going to start taking a few more rest days per week. Trying to find a more sustainable way to hit my goals.

 

Was feeling pretty bad towards the end of the day. Had to get up super early which always messes with my sleep schedule and subsequently my mood. Should be better by the end of the week.

Notes:

What a day, roughest one in a while. Mrs. ReturnOfTheDad found a lump last week. We got it checked out today with a mammogram and ultrasound. Doctor thinks it’s cancer. Have a biopsy scheduled tomorrow to find out more. Should have the results by next week. Just going to try and be there for her as much as I can and stay in the moment. The future is too much to think about right now.

Biopsy happened Thursday, still doesn’t seem real, but I know that it is. Will try to keep consistent on here and take care of myself with eating, rest and exercise. Can’t take care of Mrs.ReturnOfTheDad if I’m a mess.


Waiting for the test to come back is brutal. No word on the testing progress or when we’ll hear back. Very much a hurry up and wait situation.

 

Grappling happened yesterday. Was super out of shape from missing for the last two weeks. Will work on that endurance through the coming week.

 

Kickboxing happened today, was pretty exhausted from yesterday but got it done.

Notes:

Biopsy results came back positive, tumor is malignant and spread to one lymph node already. Next steps are to get Mrs.ReturnOfTheDad in for her first Oncology appointment and then staging to find out what stage the cancer is in. Hopeful that we can get both of those taken care of next week.

 

Feeling drained and don’t have the energy to exercise today. Going to try and pick it up again tomorrow and get back onto keeping track of my weight a little better.
