I was looking around online since I've never been in an official book club. My sisters and I do unofficial ones where one of us reads a book and shares with another and the second discusses the book as it goes. So that's as far as my knowledge goes. Which isn't really a book club at all. :) It sounds like generally book clubs meet and discuss at either set intervals (so say once a month to discuss a specific book,or the halfway mark of a book). Which is what it sounds like we'd do by breaking into the three books of the book.

Do we want discussion points when we finally get to the end? Reading some of these questions (WHICH CONTAIN SPOILERS!) made my head ache of 7th grade reading comprehension questions. So maybe a more informal discussion would be better.

Here are the questions (WITH SPOILERS), if anyone thinks they'd be of use.

Sweet, one of the libraries I'm a member of has a Kindle copy of IQ84 on loan!

I'm also in the middle of The Power of Habit. I have some reading to get done!

Same here about The Power Of Habit, such an interesting book. I've only read two chapters of 1Q84, but I think we will all love it!

I've already read quite a number on this list...I vote for the Elegance of the Hedgehog. Although In Defense of Food sounds pretty interesting.

We've already voted and started reading (and some discussing!). Go to the main Book Club part of the forum to see! Join us in reading if you'd like (or discussing if you've already read it!).

ARGH! I haven't had a chance to start the book yet... And, I'll have you fellow rebels know that I am interrupting the most recent Odd Thomas novel to read this... and, that's my favorite series!

We should get the next one decided so we can hit the ground running... I nominate Ender's Game again.
