Machete
Just completed the final exam (which I apparently didn't really need to study for, because it was mostly exercise science). On top of that, I finished my graduate course on Advanced Exercise Physiology with an A-. So it has been a pretty academically productive month. 8 Quote Valar Morghulis Halfling Monk, Chaotic Neutral Machete's Blog: Inside A Mad Mind Third World Warrior: The Eight-Year Training Log Link to comment

Machete
A man acquires more titles...ISSA Certified Fitness TrainerEasy enough, yet pretty comprehensive. Final was no joke. And the founder is a doctor who squatted a thousand pounds ("Dr. Squat") - street cred. NASM Performance Enhancement SpecialistDefinitely one I would be able to use. Pretty advanced stuff, and definitely applicable. Increased focus on biomechanics. Guest Dirty Deads
I found ISSA to be alright. The final was easier than I'd anticipated considering I didn't study. I'm planning on getting a couple more myself. Definitely CES and MMA. Probably get certified for youth as well. Anyways, well done! Quote Link to comment
Machete
Well, I got a few more in. NESTA Sport Yoga InstructorBasic stuff. I was expecting more. Biomechanics focus and is very self-paced. CrossFit Level 1 TrainerYes, I drank the Kool-Aid. Weekend cert. Very educational and enlightening course on a rather misunderstood concept. I actually recommend it for serious CrossFitters. And the instructors were beasts. NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning SpecialistJust passed the exam. Definitely a tough one, and to me it seems way more complicated than it has to be. Gets my foot through the door for further ventures though. Silo
Hey, good job! I know that you frequently post about training. Are you a FT trainer (I was thinking that you were in the military?) Machete
Precision Nutrition Level 1 CoachNutrition and coaching certification by Dr. John Berardi's company. Utilizes the same textbook as ISSA's Fitness Nutrition Specialization by Beradri and Andrews. Half nutrition theory and half coaching practice. Been consistently following Berardi's work since 2007, so it was pretty easy for me and I went through the tests rather quickly. Good course to learn basic nutrition theory and practical habit-based coaching. Machete
CrossFit Gymnastics TrainerTook this course on a whim. Turned out to be an excellent one, taught by Chuck Bennington. As a guy who naturally gravitates towards bodyweight movements, I thought it would be a good fit. Definitely learned a lot, and it particularly reinforced my adamant beliefs about virtuosity, which Glassman tends to preach a lot about (unsurprisingly, since his background is in gymnastics). I developed a newfound love for the hollow position. I even got featured on their Facebook page, which was pretty awesome. I'll be waiting to take the advanced course whenever it becomes available.
